Universal Declaration of Human Rights

Comparison

Instructions: Choose two of the civil rights opinion columns from your portfolio. Compare the
columns with the UDHR by choosing a few elements that fit with your topic and explain how
they fit together. The more notes, the better! Finally, write an MLA citation for the UDHR and
for the two columns.

Comparison Notes

They both discuss the injustice of women and men. That is inhumane to admonish
women's rights. They both discuss the need for change and how in unity we can
change things for the better. Women need to come out and talk about this and not
blame themselves for what was not their fault.

Comparison Notes

They both agree that there needs to be more women in power to change the social
norms between men and women. Also educating women is important for that change
because there’s nothing that women can’t do. They both talk about how this is a
universal problem, not just in America, and that this needs to be a cultural shift in
thinking that men and women are equal.
