ELIGIBILITY
Bursaries are open to students who will join the Army as a
regular Officer after graduation. Candidates must meet all
basic British Army eligibility requirements and:
• I f you have taken GCSEs: have 35 ALIS points from 7
subjects with at least Grade C/4 in English Language,
Mathematics and either a science or foreign language.
• I f you have taken SNQs: have 34 ALIS points from 7
subjects with at least Grade C at SNQ level 5 or grade 2 at
Scottish Standard Grade in English Language,
Mathematics and either a science or foreign language.
FIND WHERE YOU BELONG
• H
ave 72(+) UCAS points from three subjects (four for
Scottish Highers). At least two subjects must be National
Level 3, not including AS Levels or General Studies.
• Pass the Army Officer Selection Board.
• You must be 18 to apply; and enter Sandhurst not later than: FIND WHERE YOU BELONG
•D octor & Dental bursaries: before your 39th birthday.
• Nursing bursaries: before your 34th birthday.
• Veterinary bursaries: before your 29th birthday.
• A ll others: before your 30th birthday.
• Join the University Officer Training Corps while at university.
A P P L I C AT I O N
Apply for Army Medical Services Bursaries before February
in your second year. You may still apply up to your final year, FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR FUTURE LEADERS
but annual instalments may not be backdated. ARMY BURSARIES
Apply for Army Undergraduate Bursaries (Technical,
Enhanced and Standard) before the first Friday in December
of your final year. You must have at least 2 years left at
university to qualify for the full Enhanced Bursary.
You will have to pass the Army Officer Selection Board and
