Chinese Academy of Sciences and mechanism are investigated within the process from chemical reaction to inter-phase mass transfer.

Decarbonization and desulfurization,

Remove H2S、SO2、CO2 from natural gas, refinery gas, and industrial emissions and investigate the selective
absorption of H2S with multi-acid gases coexisting. The high gravity technology is employed to enhance gas-
liquid mass transfer and improve the selectivity.

Process intensification within membrane separation technology

Apply the principle and technique of process intensification to the water treatment process. Based on original
membrane separation technology we aim at improving and developing new equipment and new technology.

ty     Environmental geography is an interdisciplinary subject of geoscience and environmental science. It is an important branch of environmental science and one of the main
directions of contemporary international environmental science research. It studies the environment from the perspective of geoscience, and focuses on the large and medium-sized
environmental problems such as global, regional and river basins. It has great theoretical significance and application value. The development prospect is very broad. The main
research contents of environmental geography include the spatial distribution of regional environmental factors and the law of time variation, the relationship between human
activities and environmental changes, and how to solve environmental problems by geography.

Xuechu Chen I am interested in the cycling of nitrogen and phosphorus in saltmarshes and freshwater wetlands. Much of my work has been n
focused in the dynamics of phytoplankton and saltmarshes in response to chemical and physical alterations, and its feedback
on ecosystem. I am also an ecological engineer, specialized in designing created wetland, constructed wetland and harmful
algal control systems. Recently, I am leading two large-scale saltmarsh restoration projects funded by State Oceanic
Administration, People's Republic of China.

Hong Deng   I’m interested in the field of phytoremediation, restoration ecology and wetland biogeochemistry. I am working on the behavior of contaminants in hdeng@des.ecnu.edu.cn
wetland ecosystem, especially in the aspect of how the oxidized rhizosphere affecting metal and nutrients transformation in water-sediment interface.
