JCB Global Large Platform New Generation Skid Steer and Compact Track Loaders
For Non-Tier 4 Compliant Regions

INTRODUCTION
Building upon the same 5 compelling reasons to buy a SSL / CTL:

JCB is pleased to announce the launch of its range of Global Large Platform SSL and CTL.

NEW FEATURES
• Electrohydraulic (EH) controls – eliminates potential leak paths and allows for operator
response modes and pattern changeover
• Auto Idle (Standard Equipment) – An Auto Idle comes as standard equipment on the new
Global SSL and CTL products. When turned “ON”, auto idle automatically reduces the
engine RPM selected by the operator to engine idle when there has been no operator input
for more than 5 seconds. When either the Drive or Loader functions are activated, the
engine RPM’s will return to the previously selected RPM level. To select the Auto Idle feature
depressing the “i” Information button on the RH Dash Panel, then turn Auto Idle “ON’ or
“OFF” by utilizing the “Up” and “Down” arrows, see below.

• Three Operator Response Modes (Standard Equipment) - All new JCB Global Platform SSL
and CTL products are equipped with three Operator Response Modes, referenced as “Mode
1”, “Mode 2” and “Mode 3”. The Operator can display the current mode that the machine is
in by depressing the “i” Information button on the RH Dash Panel, then toggle between the
three modes utilizing the “Up” and “Down” arrows, see page 3 for further information.

Three modes of joystick control responsiveness can be set by the operator to customize the
machine for specific tasks or conditions.
• 1 – soft response
• 2 – intermediate response
• 3 – quick response
Mode 2 is the default setting for the machine and should be considered as the normal mode
of operation.

Adjusting the controls to Mode 1 will reduce loader and transmission* speeds by up to 70%
and the maximum acceleration and deceleration rates are decreased to soften control
response. Mode 1 can enable novice operators to control the machine in a smoother
manner and experienced operators may also find this mode useful when carrying out
precision work.

Setting the controls to Mode 3 allows the operator to increase the speed of operation of the
machine - both in terms of top speed* and responsiveness. This mode should be used when
fast cycle times are required.

*The maximum transmission speed in all modes is the same when 2 speed is selected.

NEW FEATURES CONTINUED

• Reversed air flow with integral pre-filter – draws cool, clean air from above; pulls warm air
out of the engine compartment and forces it outside vents, directing hot air away from the
operator, cooling more efficiently and keeping engine components clean
• Active scavenging acts as a pre-filter drawing particles out of the air filter and through
the exhaust, increasing air filter life

• Top Grill (cooling pack) – tool-less removable top grill for easy cleaning
• Top grill features a “hills and valleys” design allowing maximum airflow

• Auxiliary hydraulic couplers - Self-venting / pressure releasing auxiliary couplers (same as small
platform)
• Releases hydraulic pressure on the machine and attachment
• No need to release pressure through auxiliary proportional control switch on joystick
• Cab pressure reliving valve – one-way valve to release cab pressure when closing the door

NEW OPTIONS
• Pattern changeover (ISO/H-Pattern)

• Reversing Fan – The Reversing Fan clears accumulated materials in extreme duty applications
from the cooling pack grate / cover. The latest software enhancement now allows the
operator to set the Reversing Fan to automatically reverse for 10 seconds for every 15
minutes of operation. The operator can manually override and activate the fan by depressing
and holding the Reversing Fan switch for 3 seconds.
• Creep Speed – for applications where adjusting top speed while maintaining full power is
important such as cold planing
• Front mesh for canopy machines (no glass required) – for adverse applications
• A/C FOPS guard – for adverse applications
• Cab door fender and fuel cap protection – to prevent dirt, debris, manure, etc from building
up on the door handle and fuel cap
• External digital hour meter – for rental applications
• Power quick hitch – for faster attachment changeover
• Positive Engagement
• No risk of hydraulic leaks
• No risk of loosening in the event of a hydraulic failure.
• No risk of “going over relief” if pins become partially clogged
• Proven very durable and dependable during testing
