1. Hydraulic motor
Function
o This hydraulic motor is called a swash plate-
type axial piston motor. lt converts the energy
of the pressurized oil sent from the hydraulic
pump into rotary motion.
Plinciple of operation
The oil sent from the hydraulic pump flows
through valve plate (7) into cylinder block (5).
This oil can flow on only one side of the (Y-Y)
line connecting the top dead center and bottom
dead center of the stroke of piston (4). sl{z02 981

presses piston (4) [4 or 5 pieces], and gener-
ates force (Fl)[Fl = P x nD2l4].
This force is applied to thrust plate (2). Since
thrust plate (2) is fixed to the angle of (a")
degrees to the output shaft(1), the force is
divided into componenb (F2) and (F3).
The radial component (F3) generates torque ff
= F3 x ril against the (Y-Y) line connecting the
top dead center and bottom dead center.
The result of this torque [T = E (F3 x ri)l rotates
cylinder block (5) through the piston.
Since this cylinder block (5) is splined to the

. The damper, dampens the torsional vibration
caused by the change in engine torque and
the impact torque generated when accelerat-
ing suddenly or when carrying out heavy-duty
digging. In this way, it acts to protect the torque
converter, transmission, and other parts of the
power train.
. The damper has few component parts: it uses
a rubber coupling, so the vibration is absorbed

by the dampang effect of the rubber material.
Operation
. The molive force from the engine passes
through flywheel (5) and is transmitted to outer
body (6).
The torsional vibration of the engine is absorbed
by rubber coupling (10), and the power is trans-
mitted to inner body (11). lt passes through unF
versal joint (8), and is then transmitted to the
torque mnverter and transmission.

and fixed to torque converter case (5).
The PTO system is consist€d of input shaft (7),
PTO idler gear (8), PTO gear A (19), PTO gear
B and scavenging pump drive gear (21).
