Intended Learning Outcomes

 To provide students with general perspective of art making them see and appreciate their own world of

arts from various vantage points.

 Orient students to visual arts (painting, architecture, sculpture), auditory arts (music literature), and

performing arts/theatre arts (drama, dance) through the study of the types, mediums basic elements and

principles of organization of each form;

 To let students recognize some of the materials and processes involved in the production of a work of

art;

 To aid in the analysis of the formal structure of various works of art considering the historical period

and cultural framework in which they were produced;

 Help increase students’ performance in other academic areas; and

 Develop among the students an awareness of their present surrounding and associate them with their

cultural heritage thereby integrating the two periods.

POSTER MAKING CONTEST!
Mechanics:

1. The theme and poster making contest is for all students under Art Appreciation subject.
2. Theme: PREVENT COVID-19, I CAN... YOU CAN... WE CAN...
3. Entry must have relevance to the theme.
4. The contest will be done at home. STUDENTS are REQUIRED to take a video of them while
making the poster from start to finish.
5. Use white illustration board ¼ size.
6. Use any medium (craypas, water colour, crayon, pentel pen, etc.)
7. The entry should be original work.
8. One entry per student.

10. The criteria of judging will be as follows:

A. Originality – 30%
B. Relevance to the theme – 40%
C. Impact (design and composition) – 30%
TOTAL 100%

11. The winners will be exempted from Midterm exam; will receive a grade of 1.0 in the Middle
term, and a Certificate of Recognition.
12. The winning entry will be posted in DSGSCI Face book page/group.
13. The deadline of submission of entries is on November 6, 2020. Each entry should be posted on
the official Art Appreciation Face book Page, and will be shared on your respective Face book
walls.
