JOB DESCRIPTION AND SPECIFICATION

Position: Attorney V, SG-25


Department: (Chief, Collection and Litigation Division) Legal Department
Responsibility and authority:

1. Attends court hearings before various courts and Quasi-judicial bodies involving cases
filed by and against SBMA, its officers and employees
2. Conducts research and prepare/draft pleadings (complaint, answer, reply, petitions, etc.)
needed to be filed/submitted before the courts and Quasi-judicial bodies
3. Reviews and signs pleadings drafted/prepared by Legal Officers before finalization and
submission to appropriate courts and quasi-judicial bodies in any and all matters being
handled by the Department.
4. Prepares as well as review and sign various demand letters drafted by Legal Officers
against SBMA's (delinquent) locators/investors/housing lessees prior to filing of
appropriate legal actions.
5. Answers communications addressed to the SBMA Chairman and Administrator, Senior
Deputy Administrator for Support Services, Deputy Administrator for Legal Affairs, Legal
Department Manager and other SBMA officials.
6. Renders legal opinion as requested by concerned departments.
7. Prepares and signs memoranda, letters involving request from concerned departments
as may be assigned by immediate superior from time to time.
8. Acts as Member/Prosecutor in the SBMA Special DAC.

Position: Attorney V, SG-25
Department: (Chief, Contracts and Documentation Division) Legal Department
Responsibility and authority:
1. Acts as Department Manager in the absence of the latter.
2. Conducts research and prepares/drafts pleadings (complaint, answer, reply, petitions,
etc.) needed to be filed/ submitted before the courts and Quasi-judicial bodies.
3. Reviews and signs Lease Agreements drafted/ Sublease Agreements, MOAs/ MOUs,
Residential Lease Agreements reviewed and prepared by Legal Officers before
finalization and submission to the concerned parties.
4. Answers communications addressed to the SBMA Chairman and Administrator, Senior
Deputy Administrator for Support Services, Deputy Administrator for Legal Affairs, Legal
Department Manager and other SBMA officials.
5. Renders legal opinion as requested by concerned departments.
6. Prepares and signs memoranda, letters involving request from concerned departments
as may be assigned by immediate superior from time to time.
7. SBMA Disciplinary Action Committee (DAC) Prosecutor.
8. Accounts Evaluation Committee- Member. Regularly attends AEC Meeting relative of
sublease agreements and lease proposal for presentation to the SBMA Board.
9. Assigned as SBMA Committee Chairman/or member.
10. Renders other legal services to other SBMA Departments.

JOB DESCRIPTION AND SPECIFICATION


Position: Attorney IV, SG-23
Department: Legal Department
Responsibility and authority:
1. Issue legal opinions to queries posed by SBMA departments/ clients/ offices pertinent to
SBMA policies and contracts.
2. Preparation and filing of pleadings such as complaints, answers, reply, third-party claims,
cross claims, motions, etc., in courts, for and in behalf of SBMA and/or its officers and
employees.
3. Prosecution and defense of suits (court appearances, negotiations, conferences,
execution and out of town hearings) of accounts arising out of default or non-payment by
locators on their lease of SBMA properties; Criminal cases such as estafa, violations of
BP 22, theft and others, for an in behalf of SBMA and/or its officers and employees.
4. Drafts/ reviews Lease Agreements, MOAs, MOUs and other contracts where SBMA is a
party or has interest.
5. Aids in the administration and implementation of SBMA contract provisions and ensure
its terms and conditions are regularly complied by Subic Bay Freeport locators.
6. Assists other SBMA departments in the formulation of policies, regulations, procedures
and operation guidelines pertaining to day-to-day service requirements of Subic Bay
Freeport locators.
7. Conducts research and legal studies on various laws, regulations and legal information
relative to and in aid of SBMA contract management policy information.
8. Perform such other functions as directed.

JOB DESCRIPTION AND SPECIFICATION


Position: Legal Officer IV, SG-22
Department: Legal Department
Responsibility and authority:
1. Drafts/reviews Lease Agreements, Sublease Agreements, MOAs, MOUs, LDAs, Service
Agreements, and other contracts where SBMA is a party or has interest.
2. Assists other SBMA departments in the formulation of policies, regulations, procedures
and operation guidelines pertaining to the day-to-day service requirements of SBF
Locators.
3. Aids in the administration and implementation of contract provisions, and to ensure that
such terms and conditions are religiously complied with by SBF locators.
4. Conducts research and legal studies on various laws, regulations and relevant legal
information relating to contract management in aid of SBMA contract management policy
formulation.
5. Issues legal opinions or queries posed by clients and other SBMA offices, pertinent to
SBMA’s policies and contracts.
6. Performs such other functions as may be assigned/ directed.
