 Catalyst
Manufacturing Procedure
 Mould makig.
 Spred wax over helmet model exterior.
 Mix catalyst into gelcoat mix.
 Take gelcoat mix and brush it on first layer.
 Also apply second gelcoat layer.
 Mix catalyst into resin.
 Spred resin over the area to be fibreglassed.
 Then layout fiberglass.
 Now mold cavity is prepared.
 Spread mold release wax in mold cavity.
 Applay first coat of fibre glass resin.
 Then apply second resin layer.
 Place another layer of fibre glass.
 Take out the model helmet from mold cavity.
 Product is prepared.
Applications
 Composite material provides strength to the helmet.
 Helmet made up of composite material is lighter in weight.
 This helmet provides safety to a driver.
 Helmet has more flexibility therefore it reduces the harm.
