Title of the seminar: Low Voltage and Low Power Analog Circuit Design.
ABSTRACT
In today world the continuously expanding of market for portable devices such as wireless
communication devices, portable computers, consumer electronics and implantable medical
devices, low power is becoming increasingly important in analog integrated circuits. The low
power design can increase operation time or utilize a smaller size and lighter-weight battery.
Several low power complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor (CMOS) integrated circuit design
techniques are developed and being used in modern world.
The market and the need to develop efficient portable electronic equipment have pushed the
industry to pro-duce circuit designs with very low voltage power supply, and also often
constrained to low power consumption. The trend is addressed to both analog and digital circuits.
This is a tremendous challenge since many new products are not only required to operate with
3V or less, but need to have superior performance and lower cost to compete in an industry with
fast turnaround time.
Analog signal processing is fast and can address real world problems. The applications of battery
powered analog and mixed mode electronic devices require designing analog circuits to operate
at low voltage levels.
