If you need food in Sacramento, the pantries and distribution centers below can help. The non-
profits offer free groceries, perishable items, meals, and emergency food boxes to anyone who
needs help. Some charity organizations will also offer holiday baskets to qualified low income
families. Or they will help the unemployed or low income apply for Calfresh and other benefits.
Get information, including addresses and phone numbers, on the leading food pantries and
programs in Sacramento County California.
In addition to offering food, such as vegetables, breads, and meats, the pantries in Sacramento
are also a great place to call for information and referrals. For example, learn about where to
apply for social services and federal government food assistance programs including WIC
vouchers for baby formula or USDA commodities. There are also resources that are specific to
California such as CalFresh.
Many distribution centers can also provide non-financial aid as well, such as clothes and thrift
stores, to those individuals who are facing a crisis. The pantries to call for assistance and
information on free food in Sacramento are below.
