LOVE AND FIRE

In the Holy Scriptures, there are two statements concerning God, which seem to contradict
each other, which seem impossible to refer to the same person. The first one is, “God is love,”
and the second one is, “God is consuming fire.”

At first sight, it seems impossible to reconcile these two statements. It is easy to understand
the first statement that God is love, but it is quite difficult to understand the second one that
God is consuming fire and then, it is much more difficult to understand that God is at the same
time, love and consuming fire.

We do not have to delve much into the truth that God is love, because the Bible, the history,
and the human experience are full of great manifestations of the love of God towards the just
and the unjust people. Certainly, the manifestation of the love of God by excellence is to send
His only begotten Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, to this miserable world of sin and wickedness to
give his precious life in rescue to the corrupted and lost humanity.

The Holy text says, “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet
sinners, Christ died for us.” It also says, “Behold, what manner of love the Father hath
bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us
not, because it knew him not.” The Holy Scripture says as well, “For God so loved the world
that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but
have everlasting life.” So, the truth that God is love is very clear, it is very comprehensible.
What it is difficult to understand for some people is the other truth, that God is consuming fire.
If God is love, how He can be consuming fire at the same time?

There are many reasons why some people cannot understand this, reasons that we do not
have time to analyze here, but one of the most generalized ones is the wrong concepts many
people have about God; concepts that they by themselves have formed, or concepts the
beliefs or religion that they practice have passed on them. Many of them have a light concept
about God, a very conventional concept. For them, if God exists, He exists beyond the
unknown space, and God is there and they are here.

They give to God the shape, the modality that they feel like. They pretend to make of God
their toy and of course, they get the idea that God or the God of their concept has to response
to all their fancies and cravings. And since God is love as they say, He must give them this or
give that; He must forgive them of this or that; He must be conformed to this or that; He must
please them on this or that.

For them; God has to response to all their demanding, their fancies and cravings, whether it
be good or bad; nonconformist with this, they pretend to punish God when it seems to them
that He has not response as He should, or they do not go to church, or they do not go to
mass, or they do not give alms or they do not do their devotions, in retaliation to their god.
They do, more or less like those that having brought to their saint the fruit, the money, the
rum, the tobacco and, seeing that their saint did not grant them what they asked, they take
off the fruit, the money, the rum, and the tobacco, they throw it down and they give it a
terrible beating. The saint has to endure those things because that is why he is saint, and they
want to saddle God with those hare brained ideas.

Para ellos Dios tiene que responder a todas sus demandas, sus caprichos, sus antojos, sean
buenos o malos; no conforme con todo esto, hasta pretenden castigar a Dios cuando a ellos
les parece que él no ha respondido como debe; o no van a la iglesia, o no van a misa, o no
dan limosnas o no hacen sus devociones, en represalia a su dios, hacen más o menos como
aquellos que habiendo traído a su santo las frutas, el dinero, el ron y el tabaco y viendo que
su santo no les concedió lo que le pidieron le quitan las frutas, el dinero, el ron y el tabaco, lo
tornan de bruces y le propinan tremenda paliza. El santo tiene que soportar todo eso porque
para eso es santo y todas esas ideas, descabelladas, quieren también endilgárselas a Dios.
For them, God is love, but not to accept all what He represents, neither what that love offers,
the salvation of the soul, the repentance. But, for them, God is love to endure them, to bear
them, to turn a blind, to ignore their sins, impieties, iniquities, their vices etc. And when they
are said that God is consuming fire, they get alarmed, offended, and became violent. The god
of their concept is a pushover, a mannequin god, a fool god.

Para ellos, Dios es amor, pero no para aceptar todo lo que representa y lo que ofrece ese
amor, la salvación del alma, el arrepentimiento, sino que para ellos Dios es amor, es para que
Dios soporte, tolere, se haga de la vista larga, ignore los pecados de ellos, sus impiedades, sus
injusticias, sus vicios etc. Y cuando se les habla de que Dios es fuego consumidor, se alarman,
se ofenden, se violentan; el dios del concepto de ellos es un dios muñeco, un dios maniquí, un
dios imbécil.

It is true that God is love, but those who despise, discount or reject that love, they put
themselves out of that love and, because of that great love that they have rejected, God has
to exclude them, consume them, because sin will be judged, punished and excluded from the
creation of the universe, and it will exist just in the lake of fire burning with sulfur, where they
will be with the devil, demons and all mortals who did not believe and obey the gospel,
rejecting the great love of God manifested on the cross of Calvary in the person of our Lord
Jesus Christ. If God allows those sinners went to heaven, heaven would not be heaven.

Es cierto que Dios es amor, pero aquellos que menosprecian, desprecian o rechazan ese amor,
se colocan fuera del alcance de ese amor y por ese mismo gran amor que ellos han rechazado
Dios tiene que excluirlos, consumirlos, pues el pecado al final será juzgado, castigado y
excluido de la creación del universo y solo existirá, en el lago del fuego ardiendo con azufre
donde estarán para siempre el diablo, los demonios y todos los mortales que no creyeron ni
obedecieron al evangelio, rechazando así el gran amor de Dios manifestado en la cruz del
calvario en la persona de nuestro señor Jesucristo, si Dios dejara que los pecadores fueran al
cielo, el cielo dejaría de ser cielo.
God in his love, to achieve a new beginning in mankind which had been corrupted at most,
destroyed the world with a flood. God in his love, like taking out the rotten apple from the
barrel, he destroyed the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah. God in his love, opened the red sea in
dry, for the people of Israel to pass through it, and the ones who rejected that love, they
perished right there. God in his love sent his son to the world, the ones who accept him are
saved, and the ones who reject him are lost. Christ is raising and fall.

Dios en su amor, para lograr un nuevo inicio en la raza, que se había corrompido a lo sumo,
destruyó al mundo con un diluvio. Dios en su amor, como sacando la manzana podrida de
barril destruyó las ciudades de Sodoma y de Gomorra. Dios en su amor, abrió el mar rojo en
seco, para que pasara el pueblo de Israel y los que rechazaron ese amor perecieron allí
mismo. Dios en su amor, envió a su hijo al mundo, los que le aceptan son salvos, los que le
rechazan son perdidos, Cristo es levantamiento y caída.

God is love and fire, love for the one to obey him, fire for the one to reject him; the same sun
that melts the wax, harden the clay, it depends on the substance, and it depends on the
attitude of the individual. God is patient, but not indolent; God is merciful but not lazy; God is
different, but not indifferent, God is longsuffer but not faint hearted. My friend, God is love
and fire; forgiving love and consuming fire. There is nothing contradictory on this. God is a
holy God and just, and no means clearing the guilty, you will decide if you wrap yourself up in
his love, or if you expose yourself to his fire.

Dios es amor y es fuego, amor para el que le obedece, fuego para el que le rechaza; el mismo
sol que derrite la cera endurece el barro, depende de la sustancia, depende de la actitud del
individuo. Dios es paciente, pero no indolente; Dios es misericordioso, pero no perezoso; Dios
es diferente, pero no indiferente; Dios es longánime, pero no pusilánime. Amigo mío Dios es
amor y es fuego, amor perdonador y fuego consumidor. No hay nada de contradictorio en
esto, Dios es un Dios santo y justo y no dará por inocente al pecador, tu determinarás si te
abrigas en su amor o te expones a su fuego.

My friend it is better to accept his love, if you do not accept in this moment his love, you will
have necessarily to accept his anger and righteous indignation one day, you must accept in
this moment his divine love, manifested in Jesus Christ, because many have left it for
tomorrow, and tomorrow they have found his wrath and the judge of God. Lift up your hand
before you radio receptor as a sign of accepting and receiving the great love of God in your
life and in your heart.

Amigo mío es mejor que acepte su amor, sino aceptas en estos momentos su amor, tendrás
un día que aceptar forzosamente su ira y su justa indignación, debes aceptar en estos
instantes su divino amor, manifestado en Cristo Jesús, pues muchos lo han dejado para
mañana y mañana se han encontrado con la ira y con el juicio de Dios. Levante su mano
delante de su radio receptor en señal de que acepta y recibe el gran amor de Dios en su vida
y en su corazón.

Let us pray: Heavenly father, thank you for your holy and divine love manifested in the person
of our Lord Jesus Christ, My God! Look at these souls who come before you in this moment, fill
their lives with your Holy love and your forgiveness through the faith in Christ Jesus. Father!
Heal each sick person; let your healing virtue may flow in each sick body, so that they may be
healed, in the name of our Lord Jesus, Amen.

señor Jesucristo, ¡Dios mío! mira estas almas que vienen a ti en estos momentos, llena sus
vidas de tu santo amor y de tu perdón, mediante la fe en Cristo Jesús. ¡Padre! sana a cada
enfermo, que tu virtud sanadora fluya, en cada cuerpo enfermo y que queden sanos, en el
nombre de Jesús nuestro señor, ¡Amén!
