CHAPTER I

INTRODUCTION

A. Background
One of the High School in Physics Multimedia courses gives a
critical review of journals. Through criticism of journals that have the
scope of problem-based learning models, it is hoped that students will be
able to understand the role of problem-based learning models, and increase
the critical nature of a science through examining thoughts from their own
perspective and knowledge or experience. On this occasion the writer
criticized 1 journal .. as for the journal, namely "Development of
Integrated Multimedia-Based Interactive Physics Learning Media with
LKS Newton's Law Subjects About Motion Class X SMA / MA".

B. Aims

1. Fulfill the assignments of the High School in Physiscs Multimedia

subject
2. Adding student insight related to High School in Physiscs Multimedia
3. Know the advantages and disadvantages of the journal that was
criticized

Research This research aims to:

purposes (1) developing interactive multimedia-based physics learning media
using Adobe Flash and XML software on the subject of Newton's
Law of motion; (2) to determine the feasibility of physics learning
media based on interactive multimedia using Adobe Flash and XML
software on the subject of Newton's Law of motion that was
developed; (3) knowing the achievement of student learning
outcomes after participating in the learning process using interactive
multimedia-based physics learning media integrated with student
worksheets developed.
Research The research subjects consisted of two groups, namely: expert
subject judgment subjects consisting of needs analysis subjects, media
experts, material experts, practitioners and peers. User subjects in
this research and development are students of Class X semester I
students of SMA N 3 Sukoharjo in the academic year 2013/2014
Assessment The instruments used in this research and development were
Data questionnaires, interviews, test questions, and observation sheets
Research This research is a Research and Development (R&D) which refers to
methods the model proposed by Sugiyono.
Research This research and development adopts the steps proposed by
Steps Sugiyono (2013). The research is limited to the final product
revision step and has not yet reached the mass production stage. This
research starts from potentials and problems, gathering information,
product design, product validation, design revision, product testing,
product revision, usage trials, and ends at the final stage of product
revision.
Research 1. Results of the Potential and Problem Finding Stage
result The results of potential findings and problems were obtained
from field observations and questionnaires given to class X
students and physics teachers at SMA N 3 Sukoharjo.
2. Results of the Stages of Information Gathering
Based on the potential obtained from several existing
problems, information is collected to determine the form of
interactive learning media that will be developed
3. Results of the Product Design Stage
After the form of the media is determined, then a product
development design stage is carried out which includes the
planning and product development stages. The planning
stage includes the initial planning of the final form of the
media, planning the media template, planning the
presentation of the material, and planning the access menu in
the media. The development stage in presenting the material,
as well as developing the access menu in the media.
4. Results of the Design Validation Stage
The product that has been developed is physics learning
media based on interactive multimedia with a LKS, which is
then validated by the validator to assess the feasibility of a
large-scale field trial. The validation process includes
material validation by material experts and media design
validation by media experts.
5. Results of the Design Refinement Stage
The design refinement stage is based on the results of the
design validation. Suggestions and input from experts
become a basic reference in design improvement which
includes improving the content of the material and improving
the appearance of learning media.
6. Product Trial Stage Results
The product test phase was carried out on 10 students of
class X-9 SMA N 3 Sukoharjo. The selection of product trial
subjects is carried out by students who have high, medium
and low academic abilities.
7. Product Revision Stage Results
The product revision is based on the results of limited trials
conducted on 10 students of class X-9 SMA N 3 Sukaharjo.
The improvements made are in certain materials that do not
contradict the validation results of the experts. Not all
suggestions and input from product trial subjects are used as
product revisions or improvements.
8. Results of the Usage Trial Stage
The trial use stage was carried out on students of class X-10
SMA N 3 Sukaharjo with 33 students. The trial use is carried
out in the school computer laboratory room by following the
learning plan that has been made.
9. Product Revision Stage Results
The final stage of product development is the revision of the
final product from the user trial results. The revision of the
final product is based on the suggestions and input obtained
from the trial use conducted at SMA N 3 Sukaharjo in class
X-10
Research  Intermittence between elements
Strengths The clinging or relevance between elements in this journal is
very relevant, where each section starts from the abstract,
introduction, research methods, continues with the results of
the research and ends with a very closely related conclusion.
In the introductory section, it is explained first about the
learning theory and continues regarding Adobe Flash
software technology and the objectives of the research.
Followed by a clear research method. Followed by research
results starting with the discovery of potentials and
problems, gathering information and product results. The last
is a conclusion that includes the entire content of the
research.
 Originality of findings
This research is quite up-to-date, if we look at Google, there
are not many journals about this research. So it can be said
that this study has a good origin. It can be seen from the
ISSN journal because it is registered in a national journal.
 Update problem
The problems faced by researchers are quite recent where the
problems are based on the results of the research instruments
used, namely: questionnaires, interviews, test questions and
observation sheets. The latest in this problem is supported by
the title they made, namely the implementation of interactive
multimedia with worksheets in the subject matter of
Newton's Law which can solve student problems in learning
Newton's law.
 Cohesion and coherence
Based on the notion of cohesion and coherence itself, which
means the relationship in each text which is marked by the
use of language elements, this journal has linkages and
relationships between texts, sentences and paragraphs that
are interconnected with each other, marked by the
relationship between the material in which they are
interconnected.
Weaknesses of  Intermittence between elements
Research Weaknesses of this study can be seen from the composition
of the study where the results of the study re-explain the
procedures of this study. The content of this research should
only convey the content of the research accompanied by the
research data.
 Originality of findings
The weakness of the originality of this finding has several
other studies that discuss the same topic but with different
research objects.
 Update problem
The weakness seen from the currentness of the problem is
that it is in the results of their research, whether the problems
they raise can 100% solve students' problems in learning.
And not necessarily the problems they raise can be used all
physics material.
 Cohesion and coherence
There are no words in this journal that do not contain
cohesion and coherence
Conclusion Based on the results of data analysis concluded
(1) Physics learning media based on interactive multimedia
integrated with student worksheets has been successfully developed
using Adobe Flash and XML software with the results of the product
being packaged in a CD which contains the main software for the
media and several supporting files for the media. The media is
presented with two material divisions, namely learning material and
protected explanation material and containing an updateable
question bank. Learning media is developed by referring to the steps
given by Sugiyono and has been validated
(2) Physics learning media based on interactive multimedia
integrated with the developed student worksheets is suitable for use
with good categories
(3) The achievement of student learning outcomes after participating
in the learning process using integrated interactive multimedia based
physics learning media with student worksheets has increased in the
knowledge aspect.
