APO Group2

(We Learn, we Fought, but always supported and united for the name of Group)

Amit an Economics graduate from du, fresher, only practical experience got while organising college
fests, during internships whether doing market research, learning about online trading markets or
involved with family business all was in physical and very less or negligible online/virtual experience
especially for studies or working in teams.

Yashwinn, Bcom graduate from Jaipur, avid cricket enthusiast both in playing and knowledge, B1
level in Spanish, learned working on PowerPoint and excel only after joining MBA, doesn’t have
much tech know.

Kuvam, ECE engineer, JIIT, sufficient knowledge of basic working tools like Excel, PowerPoint and
similar to other group members negligible or zero experience for co-ordinating on online platforms.

Shitij Chaudhry, Mechanical Engineer, 2 year work experience in sales. All the work was on field and
have to update all the info to manager, as a result not much experience using these tools for
working.

Kulkarni, IT engineer, Data Analyst, Cogni, 2 years, knowledge of Tableau, Excel, PowerPoint and
experienced for virtual platforms while working for company and clients of other countries.

So in nutshell only 2 people were bit accustomed to online platforms and rest were very new, but
were fast learners and adapters skilled in Multitasking, co-ordination, collaboration, Time
Management and keen desire to do hard work, to rigour and become better day by day gaining from
knowledge and experiences of each other whether by doing projects, participating in case study
competitions, doing case study competitions or helping each other in studies related to our
background like Yashwinn thought Financial Accounting, Amit helped in Economics, Kulkarni with IT
background in Information systems, Shitij with father being a lawyer helped in Legal aspects of
business and Kuvam who has six sigma certification in Operations Management.

With being a mix batch of work experience and fresher there is and was always a difference in the
view points which we faced from the starting and that was the only key which helped us complete
our projects efficiently and effectively as fresher’s more focused was on decorating and making
changes to the looks of the slides/doc and experience people were more inclined towards content
resulted into turning each member comfortable in both.

(Communication Skills)
Some members were early raisers and other wanted to do work late nights and as some projects
involved the coordination of all the members it used to become difficult in an online platform to
work together but with problems there are solutions as well. We initially started with cloud
platforms where team of 2/3 members would work and the people who are not available at that
moment there will be a voice note about the remaining process which upon they can work and will
collate and continuing this shuffling members we increased our collaboration, team work and got to
know each other well both professionally and as an in person.

Not being in the campus definitely put the fresher’s into disadvantage for the placements as not
being aware about the process and activities but having people with experience not only full time
but members who have done good amount of work in their internships and NGO’s shared each other
thinking, viewpoints, experience and tips to prepare for the process and communicate each other
anytime overcoming the limitations of these hard time with the help of online platforms only.

Everyone makes mistake and we are not different, we have many a times perceived things
differently and did the same while doing the projects/presentations and just before our turn realised
the faults. Being resilient have many a times made improvisations not only in the written content but
complete spreadsheets while fighting, shouting and celebrating with the results which we think
would not have been possible even in physical environment.
