Famous Mathematician Research Project

For this research project, you will get the chance to write about a famous mathematician that we
learned about in class. The purpose of this assignment is for you to get experience doing some
research and also for you guys to see the many mathematicians who made calculus what it is
today. You guys have the option to do this project on as a research paper or on a presentation
platform (Google Slides, Prezi, etc..). If you would like to do the slides, you will be asked to
present it in front of the whole class. This is not a group assignment, this is an individual
assignment, this is an independent project. You also have the option to choose a mathematician
that is not mentioned in the books or the chapters that we went over but it will have to be
approved by me(YOUR TEACHER) in order for you to do research on that mathematician.
