Warranty Details
The product is guaranteed to be free from defects in workmanship and motherboard for a period
of 12 months from the date of purchase. The LCD display is a consumable part with minimum
working hours of 1200 hours. You may need to purchase and replace the LCD display after 1200
hours of use. Printing with materials other than WANHAO resin which are different from those
recommended our the website www.wanhao3dprinter.com, may result in damage of the printer or
inferior printing quality. Defects that occur within this warranty period, under normal use and care,
will be repaired, replaced, or refunded at WANHAO’s discretion. The benefits conferred by this
warranty are in addition to all rights and remedies in respect of the product that the consumer has
under the laws of the People’s Republic of China. In case you purchase from WANHAO distributor,
your warranty shall be covered by the distributor’s warranty and honored by WANHAO distributor
as well. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Chinese Consumer
Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any
other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Before you get started, please read these safety instructions.
CAUTION : WANHAO 3D Printers include moving parts that can cause injury. Never reach inside
the WANHAO 3D Printer while it is in operation, and allow time for the printer to cool down after
operation.
MOVING PARTS
Do not leave the WANHAO 3D Printer unattended during operation.
Always wear gloves while handling resin or printed objects.
Always be careful when using the scraper. Never direct the scraper towards your fingers.
In case of emergency turn off the 3D printer by unplugging the power outlet.
• The printer must not be exposed to water or rain, or the printer will be damaged.
• The printer is designed to be used in ambient temperatures, ranging from 15°C to 30°C.
• The printer is designed to be used in humidity levels ranging from 20% to 50%.
• Operating the printer outside the recommended temperatures and humidity levels
may result in low quality print models.
• Eye protection during cleaning or sanding of the printed models is recommended
to protect your eyes from small airborne particles.

You have just purchased a new and innovative Direct UV-Light Printing (DUP) technology
based 3D printer. The direct UV method of printing uses LCD display panel as a matrix of
pixels that hardens the liquid in the resin vat with the light from the UV light source. UV-
LEDs at the bottom is used as background lighting.

This revolutionary system is a new way of printing that uses normal UV light as the energy
source to provide initiation of free radicals polymerization that is necessary to change the
liquid imagepac resin into your solid hardened object.
Working Principles of DUP 3D Printers

There are two amazing advantages of DUP technology:
1. High resolution can be achieved through affordable and accessible LCD screens.
These screens are the same as the widely available screens of mobile phones and
tablets, so phenomenal value for money is passed directly on to you.
2. Energy used by Duplicator 7 printer is an order of magnitude lower

than comparable systems. This is not only good news for your energy bills and
the environment, but also performance advantage due to avoiding unnecessary
creation of excess energy that leads to over-curing. The problem of over-curing
is common among Digital Light Projector (DLP) and laser systems.

ELECTRICAL POWER

This 3D printer is connected to an electrical network with an input of 110 or 240 VAC,
50/60Hz, and has an operating voltage of 12V.
- Insert the power cable cord into the socket at the back of the printer.
- Do not allow anything to rest on the power cord.
- Do not place the printer and cable where people will walk on or trip over the cord.
- If an extension cord is used with the printer, make sure the combined ampere
of all equipment plugged into the extension cord does not exceed the extension’s limit.
- Do not overload a power outlet, strip, or receptacle by plugging in too many devices.
- Remove the power cable cord when printer will not be used for long periods of time.
- Before unplugging the power cord, remember to turn off the printer.
- Use the printer only with the cord supplied in the original packaged set. For power
cord replacements, ensure the following requirements are met: detachable type,
UL listed/ CSA certified, VDE approved or its equivalent, 4.5 meters (15 meet)
maximum length.
- In case of malfunction, unplug and disconnect the printer immediately from
the network.
- Do not attempt to fix the product without seeking qualified technical service
personnel, or you may risk being exposed to dangerous voltage points after
removing covers.
- For technical service please contact your location distributor, or contact
WANHAO at support@wanhao3dprinter.com.
Repair Recommendations
Unplug the printer form the wall outlet and contact a qualified service personnel when:
- The power cord is damaged, cut, or frayed.

- Liquid is spilled into the printer.
- Printer is dropped or case is damaged.
- Product exhibits distinct changes in performance that indicates malfunction.
- Product does not operate normally after following operating instructions.
Disposal Instructions
Do not dispose of this printer as regular waste. Please minimize pollution to the environment
and recycle or return to WANHAO for recycling.

USEFUL TIPS

1. Have adult supervision present when printer is operated by a minor.
2. The resin is a skin and eye irritant. Always wear gloves when coming into contact with
the liquid resin.
3. Operate the printer on a stable and level surface, preferably away from direct
ambient light.
4. Ensure there is sufficient space to open the printer doors.

Note: Turn on the printer first, then

turn on the D7 Plus.
2. Add the file by clicking ‘+’.

then click the checkmark to confirm.

4.1 LCD button

Click to check if the UV light is on. If the Wanhao logo does not appear, the UV light is off
and not properly configured. To troubleshoot this issue, visit www.wanhao3dprinter.com
and go to the FAQ section for the Duplicator 7 (D7), section #21 on LCD for detailed step
by step guide.
4.2 Level button

Follow the displayed steps to complete
leveling and Z-axis homing at the same
time.
Tighten the central knob and loosen

the 4 screws so the plan form can move
up and down freely, then click “Next”.

After homing the platform, press
down on the platform so it touches
the FEP film. Using your other free
hand, tighten the 4 screws.
4.3 Z-Height button

Press on the Home icon
and the building plate will center the
Z-axis. You can also manually move the
build plate.
4.4 Print button

Choose a print file from the USB
memory stick and click on the
checkmark to confirm the print.
Press the Play icon to start the print.

4.5 Print progress During the process of printing, you can monitor the
progress by seeing the number of layers printed and printing time.
4.6 Settings menu To restore the printer to factory settings or learn

more about the detailed version of the printer.
4.7 Reset button Will power printer off then on. This will stop a print
job which cannot be resumed.
4.8 Power Off Will shut down the printer. This will stop a print job
which cannot be resumed. Use the physical power switch on the back
of the printer to completely power off.

your reseller, if not, please email support@wanhao3dprinter.com. Input the license key
and click “Activate a License”.

3. Plug in the power cord, then connect the printer to
your computer with the USB and HDMI cables.
Note: On your computer configure the connected printer

screen’s power and sleep mode to “Never” turn off or
enter sleep mode automatically. Sleep mode will affect
print quality. Connecting to printer
3.1. Turn on the printer. Click on “Configuration”, then “Printer Setting”, then “USB”
and select resolution 2560*1440 for the Duplicator 7.
Once the printer is properly connected with the correct port of the computer, the
connection icon will go from red to green.

3.2 Click on “Level” and follow the steps to

level the building plate. The printer will center and home the build plate.
3.3 Finish the leveling process guided by the software and click “OK” to complete

3.5. Click on “Configuration” and “Setting” to customize according to your resin’s

characteristics, such as layer thickness, curing time, printing speed, and more.
The clickable icon on the top right of

the Resin Settings screen will guide you
in setting the lift sequence of the build
platform.
4. In the “Supports” screen, you can add

support to your model automatically or

5. In the “Preview” screen, you can see the model from different views.
6. When your model is ready to be printed, click on “Export” or “Print on USB”. The
software will start rendering to generate a Gcode file for your model.
7. To stop printing mid-print, click “Stop” at the bottom left.

SOFTWARE DETAILS:
1. Layout Scene View:

Allows manipulation of the print layout.
2. Objects Menu:
Useful for showing and hiding objects when you have multiple models on
the platform.

3. Copy Menu:
Duplicate your model as many times as you wish, but check that you have
enough space on your platform. The software will automatically align and
arrange the models for you.
4. Tools Menu:
Move, rotate, change orientation, and adjust the scale of your model.

5. Supports Menu:
Supports are sometimes required for the model to print properly. Due to the mature
of DPP printing, the lower layers must be supported with extra structures unless the
model has a wide base that is printed during the first few layers.
Add supports automatically or manually, and braces can also be added automatically
by switching Auto Bracing “On”.

5.3 Hollowing the model

Save printing time and resin material by turning the hallowing feature “On”. You can
set the thickness of the printed walls by dragging the slide bar.

5.4 Preview the print
You can preview the model before printing
by sliding the bar on the right to see your
model layer by layer.
5.5 Adding holes

You can add holes to your model as part
of hollowing. Typically holes are added
where it is not visible after the print job is
completed.hole somewhere that is no visible
after printing process is finished.
6. Printer Controls
By clicking on LCD you can conform that the LCD Screen functions. Printer will display
Wanhao Logo on your screen.
6.1 LCD Menu

Check that the LCD screen on the printer is functioning.
6.2 Z-Height Menu

Raise the build platform by +10, +1, +0.1 mm, or by -10, -1, -0.1mm intervals.

6.3 UV Lamp
Click on “Light On” to turn on the UV lamp, and “Light
Off” to turn off the UV lamp.
6.4 Clean Resin Vat

You can choose to clean the resin with 15 second, 30 second, or 45 second cleaning
sessions. After the session is completed, the UV lamp will turn off automatically.
6.5 Generate Mask

Under the “General” Menu, you
can click on “Mask Generator” then
“Manual” to generate a mask.
You can preview the mask on the

printer’s LCD screen or save the mask
as a .png file by clicking “Save Mask”.

Why generate a mask?
A nonuniform light output means you do not have the same UV intensity across the
entire LCD panel. Normally the center of the LCD is brighter than the edge area. The
difference sometime can be as high as 25%. If you are printing something fairly large, it
means either there is part of your print are over-cured or under-cured. Over-curing usually
cause lose of details and Under-curing usually will lead to printing failures.
With a mask image layer displayed on the LCD together with your printing images, the light
output can be close to 100% uniformed if the mask is properly made. However, a mask is
always recommended to ensure the best printing quality possible.

to be changed or returned to the supplier for repair.
Please be aware that if your product retains user-generated data, (for example files stored

media player), some or all of your stored data may be lost during the repair process.
We recommend saving your data elsewhere before sending our the product for repair.
Please be aware that we may replace your printer with a refurbished printer of the same
model or use refurbished parts in the repair process.
Please be assured refurbished parts or replacements will only be used when they meet
WANHAO’s stringent quality specifications.
