Relative pronouns

A chef is a trained cook who / that works in a hotel or restaurant.

- We use who or that for people.

An alarm clock is a clock which / that you can set to wake you up at a particular
time.

- We use which or that for things.

I know a girl whose father is a famous writer.

- We use whose for possession.
