 To set the lives of youth to the
ideals of freedom and nationalism
for which the national heroes gave
up their lives.
 To pay respects and appreciation
to our national hero for devoting
his life and works in shaping the
Filipino character.
 To have a shaping source of
patriotism through the study of our
national heroes work and his life.
Against
 Most of the Filipino people are not
interested in pursuing the nation’s
pride.
 The Law contains sections that are
not favorable to the Roman
Catholic Church.
 The Philosophical messages of
Rizal work might not be
comprehended by the young
Filipinos readers.

Synthesis:
It is undeniably true that the Rizal Law was one of the most controversial law in
the Philippines considering that the most of our population are roman-catholic and some
parts of the great heroes work goes against the teachings of the church. This is one of
the main concern since it tarnishes the good image of the church itself. Due to the
population of people attending college the young people might not be able to
comprehend the works of Rizal.
