massage. Kasama ko po si MARIA ELEONOR ang aking kliyente at dala ko po ang pangunahing kagamitan na
ginagamit sa massage.
2. How do you put the client at ease while explaining to him the different principles and practices of
therapeutic massage?
ANSWER: By communicating with him. Tell him of what you will be doing and what to expect during
the treatment.
4. Is it advisable to perform the massage even if you are not feeling well?
ANSWER: No, it might not be safe for you and the client.
7. What will you do to know if the client is cleared to undergo massage treatment?
ANSWER: Check vital signs, TPR, wounds, edema?
10.What will you tell the client outright that he is not fit to get the massage?
ANSWER: "Pardon me, I need to refer you to the doctor, you seem pale to me."
12. What are the basic strokes of Swedish massage? Identify at least 3 basic strokes.
ANSWER: Effleurage (light and deep). Petrissage, friction, tapotement and vibration.
16. What are the effects of Chest Cupping? Identify at least 2 effects.
ANSWER: Loosens mucus in thoracic cavity. Stimulates tired muscles.
19. What will you do if you observe something is wrong with the client while you are administering the
massage?
ANSWER: Stop. Give first aid measure. Refer to the doctor. Document.
20. What preparations would you make before administering the massage?
ANSWER: Introduction and rapport to client. Get consent. Orient to room. Proper positioning. Warm-
up stretching for the therapist.
21. What would you do when ran out of oil in your hand?
ANSWER: Add to the dorsal aspect of hand without removing touch to the client.
24. Do you need the get the client's history and why?
ANSWER: Yes. To get the total picture for the client history status.
25. What are some remedial massage principles? Identify at least 2 principles.
ANSWER: Consider the clients constitution. Consider the clients compliance.
26. Why do you need to discuss remedial treatment strategy with the client?
ANSWER: So that he will be informed and will decide for herself.
