2. Describir en ingles las estrategias adoptadas para obtener ventajas competitivas en el
diseño y construcción de viviendas descritas en el primer artículo del punto 1,
argumentando con ejemplos e interactuando en el foro con los demás integrantes del
grupo.

The strategies to be used to achieve competitiveness in the design and construction of


houses and some management models that allowed this type of growth:

• A Proposal of sustainable basis for the implementation of housing with which it is

intended to make an approximation to certain inclusive aspects that would have to be

conceived in a housing plan, this through the elaboration of a diagnosis that would allow

to recognize the housing situation, through the study of the Municipal Development Plans,

the agreements promulgated by the Municipal Council and the management reports made

by the municipal administration. As a hypothesis, this research proposes, as “the lack of

a housing policy in the city in where these strategies are to be applied has caused the

municipality to limit its functions to the national dynamics of housing production, leading

to an insipient economic action to fully address the problem of housing deficit for low-

income people.

• Another analyzed strategy allows contextualizing the issue at the national level growth

and competitiveness strategies in a construction company for its positioning in the market

whose purpose may be to Design strategies that allow this construction company to

continue in the market with a high level of competitiveness, Through the development of

a diagnosis of the strategic model in the administrative process of the company with a

view to achieving a better level of competitiveness that leads to defining the action plan.
With the development of this research, it was sought to carry out an administrative

technical study, which would guide the management of the company towards the

formulation of development alternatives that allow it to become more competitive and

stronger in the construction market, for which they were carried out different analyzes of

the external and internal environment of the company where political, economic, social

and demographic, technological, environmental and legislative aspects were covered,

likewise reference is made to market structures, competitive forces, the value chain where

the success of the projects which allow them to be not only another construction company

in the sector, but also a structuring of projects with a high sense of value for the client.

• This strategy analyzed the implementation of an innovation management model, in the

essential capacities of the new housing development company as a key element for

increasing its competitiveness, whose purpose is to implement a suitable technological

innovation management model for a small home development company.

In the development of the research, it is taken into account that the companies that have

standardized their quality through a quality management system, have managed to

compete with greater success in the market, without ignoring that the organizational

structures do not easily adopt this philosophy, although Technological innovation

management models have been applied to companies outside the construction industry

in the country, specific data can be obtained to formulate the management model for the

target sector.

This is how it is possible to define that for a small company it can be very costly to

implement a technological innovation management model by technological surveillance

and learning systems (hardware and software) to create its databases, since the Most of
these systems are designed for large and medium-sized companies, which turn out to be

very expensive, in addition to the training that must be provided to all human resources,

for which tools should be used tailored to their competitiveness and projecting said tools

in their long-term strategies where the structure of the company must be directly

proportional to its competitiveness in the short term and exponentially in the long term.
