1. The pyramid, which was cleaned In 2012, was such a fascinating piece of engineering, that
it was the tallest building in the world for over 4000 years!

2. Most Egyptologists, people who study Egyptian history, agree that the Great Pyramid was
built around 2560 BC, a little more than 5,000 years ago.

3. It took tens of thousands of workers 20 years to make it.

4. The pyramid has over 2.000.000 rock blocks.

5. How heavy are they? Most of the blocks are 2000 or 3000 kilograms.

1. The Great Pyramid of Giza was built from orders by the King Khufu for dead kings.

2. His closest friend, Hemon, was the pyramid's architect.

3. The Great pyramid is part of the three pyramids at Giza, and it is the largest and tallest.

4. The other ones are the Pyramid of Khafre with two known rooms, and the smaller Pyramid
of Menkaure, with three smaller pyramids next to it.
