Skid Row to be Transformed Into a Festive Dining Room Celebration

WHAT: ​The Los Angeles Mission is getting ready to host their annual Thanksgiving celebration
to serve meals to the homeless. Amidst this tragic time, the homeless are still in need. The
support of many gracious volunteers will help our most vulnerable neighbors during the crisis
and bring the joy of Thanksgiving to all.

WHO: ​LA’s deprived population is invited to enjoy the delicious feast. Any and all who are able
are encouraged to volunteer at the event.

WHEN: ​Thanksgiving day - November 26, 2020


Meals will be served from 11AM-3PM

WHERE: ​Los Angeles Mission

WHY: ​“They need our help now.”


● Turkey, mashed potatoes, green beans, and pies will be served at the celebration.
● Blankets, Bibles, and tarps will also be handed out in preparation for the cold season
ahead.
● Volunteers are welcome and needed to serve the delicious meals.

The Los Angeles Mission exists to serve the people of Skid Row by providing shelter, food,
clothing, and other emergency and medical services. The Mission seeks to restore lives with
long-term rehabilitation in mind. With over 36,000 people experiencing homelessness in LA,
education programs, professional development, mental health counseling, job placement, and
more are the focuses of the LA Mission in their restoration process.
