Alternate Ending Final Draft:

Characters: Macbeth, Seyton, The witches, Malcolm, Macduff, and Hecate.

Macbeth and Seyton enter while discussing

their plans against the siege.
Seyton
Milord! The rebels are preparing to seize the castle!
In this ending, I changed the purpose of Seyton as you will see below.

Macbeth
Imbeciles! The witch’s prophecy foretold their demise and promised me victory!
‘’Imbeciles’’ is used as a euphemism. Here Macbeth, realizes that the witch’s were
against him just as the story not much changes here. I did however change the
theme from grim dark to hyped fantasy.
Seyton
Milord, I believe that we may have been deceived.

Macbeth
We have not a chance in winning this battle, it is a blood bath. Order the foot
soldiers to guard the gate. I want every archer on the walls!
‘’it is a blood bath’’ is used as an allusion which is a common one. Macbeth does
not confront the army at first, he knows he is surrounded and outnumbered. So,
he uses his castle walls to his favor.
Seyton Exits

The witches enter

First witch
Sisters Macbeth is now under our thumb.
‘’Under our thumb’’ Is an allusion. The witch’s characters are the second major
change in the plot, as you will see below.

Second witch
All we need now is to offer him something he cannot refuse.

Third witch
It should be easy now that he is under a tremendous pressure. It is interesting
how he grieves over the loss of his wife, but not over the possibility of his own
death.
The motif of this artistic work is how the characters seek control of each other
throughout the story. Either directly or indirectly, this is the allegory of the story.

First witch
Those puny humans. I will never understand their ways. That is not important
now, the ritual for Hecate’s champion will commence.
This is the main plot twist compared to the original plot. I wanted to give the
actions of the witches a purpose to deepen the story . Even though the witches,
did these evil deeds against Macbeth because they are ‘’witches’’. It still did not
give us the why. The witches never benefited from corrupting Macbeth other
than doing evil. I wanted to give a spark to the story by showing a ‘’give and take
relationship’’ between Macbeth and the witches. The rest will be explained
below.

Second witch
I hope our goddess will be satisfied with him as her champion.
Here Hecate plays a bigger role as being the master mind behind all of the
witches. She commands them to recruit Macbeth, as a ‘’champion’’. The reason I
did this is because Hecate is a goddess, and gods in myths and legends chose their
own champions. Champions are like servants for the heavens. They are warriors
that obey their Gods/Goddess’s command. They are used as tools to influence
people to follow the God/Goddess of the champion. This is the purpose of
Macbeth.

Third witch
He will suffice. Our actions have set him on the path of murder and tyranny he is
the perfect candidate, but he will have to prove his worth by victory in battle.
Seyton will relay what happens through this chimera’s eye orb.
The first plot twist, in this line is that Macbeth needs to pass a ‘’test’’ to prove
that he deserves to be a champion. Of course, the reason why the witches
manipulated him into this dangerous position is to see if he can survive and win.
If they told Macbeth, the truth from the beginning he would have utterly refused
to be a champion to the Goddess of witches. since he was a respectable noble at
the time and would not believe the ghosts of old hags, but with their visions and
lies to him they succeeded and are now waiting to see the results.
The second twist is how they information is relayed from the battle to the
witches. I wanted to give Seyton the role as of demonic spy to add spice to the
plot. It is also coincidental that the name Seyton rhymes with ‘’Satan’’.

The witches are in wait for what Macbeth will do.

Malcolm
This stench I can smell it even from afar. The stench of death.
‘’The stench of death’’ is used as foreshadowing for the events to come.

Macduff
Milord, many good men will die today.
This is also foreshadowing even though its direct, but it didn’t happen yet.
Malcolm
Yes, but many tyrants and evil doers will die too. Sacrifices shall be made.
Macbeth shall pay with blood!
‘’pay with blood’’ is colloquialism. I changed the attitude of Malcolm slightly,
He becomes more mature and shrewder, because of the murder of his father and
his descent from his rightful throne.

Macduff
Mount the siege towers and ready the catapults! They cannot hide forever behind
their walls!
Macduff is still the loyal servant of Malcolm I didn’t change anything with his
character except the plot.

Malcolm and Macduff enter the castle with ease

As the warriors engage

Macbeth
We are losing! All that awaits me is a sword through the neck!
‘’ sword through the neck’’ is a colloquialism, instead of using ‘’lacerate my flesh’’
or other similar phrases.

Seyton
Do not lose your composure sire. We still have soldiers fighting this very moment!
Its too late to surrender now we must fight.
Even though Seyton is a spy, he is still needs Macbeth to survive, because he
wants his masters pleased.

Macbeth
You are right! I will show these sacks of bones that a bunch of lies cannot
overpower my sword. I shall go out to the gates and fight till the last drop of my
blood. My comrades will not die in vain!
This is formal diction, my story had a huge number of formal diction in all of the
lines, but I found this line best to highlight, as I didn’t want to overuse it.

Seyton
What is the plan milord? They outnumber us five to and all their troops are skilled
with the sword.
Formal diction. Here Seyton wants to know what Macbeth is planning as to see
what he can do per Macbeth’s order, but primarily to relay it to the witches.

Macbeth
You forgot Seyton that I am not just the king but the former thane of Glamis. I
defeated countless enemies in battle alone. I might be a murderer and a tyrant,
but I am also a brave and strong. If I must die, then it shall be in war. Now will you
follow me my dear servant?
In this line is the main twist to Macbeth’s personality. When he realizes that the
witches’ visons are just lies, he began to use his brain again. Macbeth was
portrayed as a strong intimidating and noble person in the very beginning, but all
of these characteristics where forgotten because of his crimes. This affects the
plot severely.

Seyton
Yes milord! I will follow you to death’s door.
This is colloquialism.

Macbeth and Seyton rush to the castle’s gates

Hecate
This is most interesting. I thought Macbeth is a coward that will hide
behind his mother in the moment of danger, but it seems that I am
mistaken. I would have struck him with lightning if that would have
happened. Well, he passed. If he dies now, I will turn his body into
undead and summon his soul back, but its less troublesome if he lives.
