Methodology

This report is based on findings of the differences between engineering and engineering
technologist in society. Data for this report is an online survey which is quantitative and
qualitative research. In an online survey, a set of 9 questions has been given to the
correspondent using Google form. The questions were asked the correspondent knowledge
regarding the differences between engineering and engineering technologist in a society
based on their career and titles. The objectives of this survey are to have knowledge about
engineering and engineering technologist.

As an alternative to given out a set of paper questionnaire, Google form has been made for
an easier task. A link was sent to all correspondents for them to answer the survey. This
method is easier as the correspondent can complete the survey anytime and anywhere
because it can be done using a smartphone. From this survey, it collects the data form the
correspondents and it makes easier to analyze the information. Thus, the correspondents
can easily answer the questions and making it more flexible.

Conclusion

In the conclusion, there is common confusion of these two categories, engineering and
engineering technology. The differences are poorly acknowledged, putting doubt on this
standard wisdom. The online survey has been done with 61 correspondents regarding
differences of engineering and engineering technology.
