How to install your Fontfabric Fonts

Get going with your brand new fonts in no time! While there are many ways of installing,
removing and managing your fonts, we’ve assembled this quick and easy step-by-step
guide based on the most popular use-case scenarios.

Depending on what type of font (demo or free) you’re downloading from Fontfabric,
you’ll find some or all the following formats inside the zipped folder:

Desktop font formats: otf, ttf


Web font formats: eot, woff, woff2

How to install fonts on a Mac?


Managing fonts on a Mac is very simple and happens with the help of Font Book -
Mac’s native font manager. Here’s one way to install your new Fontfabric fonts:

1. Go ahead and open Finder > Applications >


Font Book.* 2. Now that you’ve opened Font Book, go to the
folder containing your new Fontfabric fonts.

*Alternative method: You can also open Font Book by selecting the
fonts you want to install and then Right-Click > Open With > Font Book.

3. Select the Fontfabric fonts you’d like to install.


4. Drag them to Font Book and drop them as shown.*


*You can drag and drop whole folders, as well!

5. All done! If they’re not highlighted, use Font Book’s


Search Bar to find your new Fontrabric fonts.*

*You’ll notice that fonts belonging to the same font family get grouped.
This applies to single fonts, as well.

How to remove fonts on a Mac?

1. Go ahead and open Finder > Applications >


Font Book. 2. Select the fonts (or font families) you want to
remove > Right-Click > choose “Remove...”

3. All done! The fonts are now uninstalled.

How to install fonts on Windows?
Windows has a special font control panel called “Fonts” which allows you to manage
your typeface collection. Here’s one way to install your new Fontfabric fonts:

1. Open the Control Panel by using the Search Bar in


the Start Menu and choose “Fonts”. * 2. Go ahead and open the folder containing your
new Fontfabric fonts.

*Alternative: You can quickly install a single font by double-clicking on


it and then clicking on the “Install” button.

3. Select the fonts you’d like to install.


4. Drag them to the “Fonts” panel and drop them
anywhere.

5. All done! Either scroll through or use the panel’s


Search Bar to find your new Fontfabric fonts.*

*You’ll notice that fonts belonging to the same font family get grouped.

How to remove fonts on Windows?

1. Open the Control Panel by using the Search Bar in


the Start Menu and choose “Fonts”. 2. Select the fonts (or font families) you want to
remove > Right-Click > choose “Delete”.

3. All done! The fonts are now uninstalled.*


*Be careful, however, as Windows permanently deletes all uninstalled fonts.

How to install web fonts?


Managing web fonts depends on the specific case. However, here are the general steps
you’ll need to follow in order to embed and use your new Fontfabric fonts.

1. Decide which formats you’re going to need for


your website. 2. Upload the chosen Fontfabric web font files to
your website’s server.
