In this task, it is expected to achieve the following learning results:

To express ideas about past experiences and future plans through a video and an interview integrating the information
developed in the writing task and focusing on the oral development of the same linguistics elements within an academic
context.

En esta tarea, se espera lograr los siguientes resultados de aprendizaje:

Expresar ideas sobre experiencias pasadas y planes futuros a través de un video y una entrevista integrando la
información desarrollada en la tarea de escritura y enfocándose en el desarrollo oral de los mismos elementos
lingüísticos dentro de un contexto académico.

The task lies in:

Two different speaking exercises, one synchronous interview through Skype and a video sent through the Speaking
Forum.
1. SYNCHRONOUS INTERVIEW THROUGH SKYPE:
FIRST MOMENT:
In the first moment of the synchronous interview, the student and the tutor will engage in a conversation about
personal information in which the student is expected to talk about general information such as: Marital status, city of
residence, family group, likes and dislikes and professional/academic life. The tutor will ask different questions to guide
the conversation although spontaneity from the student will be appreciated.

1. ENTREVISTA SINCRÓNICA A TRAVÉS DE SKYPE:
PRIMER MOMENTO:
En el primer momento de la entrevista sincrónica, el estudiante y el tutor entablarán una conversación sobre
información personal en la que se espera que el estudiante hable sobre información general como: estado civil, ciudad
de residencia, grupo familiar, gustos y disgustos y Vida profesional / académica. El tutor hará diferentes preguntas para
guiar la conversación, aunque se apreciará la espontaneidad del alumno.

SECOND MOMENT:
Students will then talk about

Talk about some of the activities you did in this place by focusing on the environmental aspect of it (the weather,
vegetation, natural resources, among others).
Make sure your computer complies with all the technical requirements and that you have a stable internet connection

Choose a time frame, from the schedule established by your tutor to carry out the interview.
A Google Drive shared document will be provided by your tutor through mail.
Register on the schedule your ID number, full name, group number, email and Skype username. Login to the Skype at
least 10 minutes before the interview.
Remember to have from 10 to 15 minutes and guarantee the proper functioning of the headset, microphone and
camera to carry out the interview.

SEGUNDO MOMENTO:

Hable sobre algunas de las actividades que realizó en este lugar enfocándose en el aspecto ambiental de la misma (el

Asegúrese de que su computadora cumpla con todos los requisitos técnicos y que tienes una conexión a Internet estable
para una videollamada.
Elija un período de tiempo, desde el horario establecido por su tutor hasta realiza la entrevista.
El tutor proporcionará un documento compartido de Google Drive por correo
Registre en el horario su número de identificación, nombre completo, número de grupo, correo electrónico y nombre de
usuario de Skype. Inicie sesión en Skype al menos 10 minutos antes de la entrevista.
Recuerde tener de 10 a 15 minutos y garantizar el correcto funcionamiento de los auriculares, micrófono y cámara para
llevar a cabo entrevista.

2. VIDEO
Students will record a video of themselves explaining why they chose the company they did for the writing exercise; how
does this company contribute to pollution in our world? what opinions and demands did they express in the formal
letter sent to them? Additionally, students will provide an ecological solution to the problem of this company and will
express how this impacts the environment in a positive way.
This video can be made by recording yourself in selfie mode. Once you finish the video, upload it to YouTube (set the
privacy to PUBLIC) and share the link in the Speaking forum.

2. VIDEO
Los estudiantes grabarán un video de ellos mismos explicando por qué eligieron la compañía que hicieron para el
ejercicio de escritura; como esta empresa contribuir a la contaminación en nuestro mundo? qué opiniones y demandas
hicieron se expresan en la carta formal que se les envió? Además, los alumnos proporcionará una solución ecológica al
problema de esta empresa y Expresará cómo esto impacta el medio ambiente de una manera positiva.
Este video se puede hacer al grabarse en modo selfie. Una vez tú terminar el video, subirlo a YouTube (establecer la
privacidad en PÚBLICO) y comparte el enlace en el foro Speaking.

Hace aproximadamente 5 años viaje a San Andres islas, hay muchas actividades, como nadar con mantarrayas, disfrutar

siete colores y de sus paradisíacas playas protegidas por su hermosa barrera coralina.
About 5 years ago I traveled to San Andres islands, there are many activities, such as swimming with manta rays,
enjoying the Aquarium,
a fish tank in the open sea that exposes the diversity of the marine species of the place,
enjoying the seven-colored sea and its paradisiacal beaches
protected by its beautiful coral reef.
Escogí esta empresa por que es una petrolera estadounidense, la cual tiene presencia en nuestro
país a través de la filial ExxonMobil Exploration Colombia Ltd., con sede en Bogotá. Producen
combustibles y lubricantes con las marcas Esso y Mobil e importan productos químicos industriales y
en estos momentos quiere hacer fracking en Colombia, lo cual aporta cosas negativas para nuestro
medio ambiente y nuestra salud.
El Fracking es un método de extracción de petróleo, que es la perforación de un agujero en la
superficie de la tierra, en el que se inyectan productos químicos tóxicos junto con agua a una alta
presión y después se bombea el agua residual a una gran profundidad, todo esto, creando una serie
de problemas muy graves y con implicaciones de todo tipo como son:
 Agua contaminada en ríos y lagunas, lo que genera muerte de algunas especies de animales
y plantas.
 Problemas de salud, como asma, dolores de cabeza, presión arterial alta, anemia, ataques al
corazón y cáncer.
 Mayor efecto invernadero.
Yo les envié una carta expresando mi decepción con respecto al fracking, que además hacen en
diferentes países, lo que contribuye extremadamente al cambio climático, y que solo les interesa el
dinero y no quieren comprender que en el futuro no tendremos un planeta saludable para nuestro
hijos y nietos.
Puntualmente les solicite muy amablemente que dejen de hacer fracking por el bien de nuestro
planeta.
Se plantea las siguientes soluciones para la empresa para evitar el deterioro del medio ambiente:
1. Alternativa al gas no convencional para generación de electricidad.
2. Generación de energía eólica.
3. Generación de energía solar.

Ingles 3, voy a explicar porque escogi la empresa ExxonMobil Exploration Colombia Ltd en la actividad
anterior como causante de contaminación al medio ambiente.
Good afternoon, my name is, student of the business administration program, of the
English 3 course, I will explain why you chose the company ExxonMobil Exploration
Colombia Ltd in the previous activity as the cause of contamination to the environment.

I chose this company because it is a US oil company, which has a presence in our
country through the subsidiary ExxonMobil Exploration Colombia Ltd., based in
Bogotá. They produce fuels and lubricants under the Esso and Mobil brands and
import industrial chemicals, and at the moment, they want to fracking in Colombia,
which contributes negative things for our environment and our health.
Fracking is a method of oil extraction, which is the drilling of a hole in the earth's
surface, in which toxic chemicals are injected together with high-pressure water, and
the wastewater is then pumped to a great depth , all this, creating a series of very
serious problems and with implications of all kinds such as:
