grandchildren engaged in infrastructure investment, namely PTPP Infrastructure(PP Infra) and
PT PP Tirta Riau (PP Trita Riau) held the erection of the first pole for the cross-city drinking water
supply system (SPAM) between Pekanbaru and Kampar District, Monday (20/9/2021).

Fuady Noor.

This activity is a series of processes and part of cooperation in the implementation of cross-city
SPAM Pekanbaru and Kampar Regency with a capacity of 1,000 liters per second (lpd) between
Perumdam Tirta Siak Pekanbaru City, Perumdam Tirta Kampar, Kampar Regency and PT Sarana
Pembangunan Riau.

Director of Operations of PT PP Infrastruktur Satya Priambodo said, since the groundbreaking

activities of SPAM Cross-City Pekanbaru and Kampar Regency were carried out in November
2020, PP Tirta Riau has continued to carry out coordination with stakeholders related to other
processes to speed up the fulfillment of preliminary requirements in the form of design planning,
permitting and other processes. etc.

"This erection activity is the initial process of starting the construction phase of the SPAM
construction which is expected laterdrinking waterwill gradually reach customers' homes at the
end of 2022," said Satya in his written statement, quoted by Beritasatu.com, Tuesday (21/9/2021).

Satya explained, the construction of production unit installations using the best reliable and
currently available technology, is planned to take place in two phases which will have a total
capacity of 1,000 liters per second (lpd) with the output of drinking water quality standards in
accordance with Minister of Health Regulations (Permenkes) and service delivery. 24 hours per
day.

"Meanwhile, the construction of the pipeline network will be carried out in four stages planned to
serve the needs of household and non-household customers in the Pekanbaru City and Kampar
Regency areas," explained Satya.

"SPAM Cross City Pekanbaru and Kampar Regency will serve approximately 624,000 people or
around 102,000 house connections in five sub-districts, namely Tampan, Bukit Raya, Marpoyan
Damai, Siak Hulu, and Tambang with an increase in service coverage from previously 0% in the
service area to 55 % in the greenfields area. The raw water source to be used in the area comes
from the Kampar River," said PTPP Corporate Secretary, Yuyus Juarsa.

PP Tirta Riau Director Achmad Sanusi explained, apart from investing in upstream production
units and downstream distribution units, PP Tirta Riau will support Perumdam in the form of
planning and management assistance.

"This is done to improve the service and performance of Perumdam in carrying out drinking water
supply activities for customer needs in the cooperation area, both in terms of quality, quantity,
continuity, and affordability through financial investment assistance, implementation of
measurable service improvements, use of systems, programs , technology and knowledge
needed to improve the performance of Perumdam," he explained.

Achmad Sanusi added, in order to facilitate the implementation of Pekanbaru and Kampar Cross-
City SPAMs to run smoothly in terms of customer absorption, at this event a mutually beneficial
memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between Perumdam Tirta Siak and Perumdam
Tirta Kampar with the Association.
Housing Developers (Aspernas), Real Estate Indonesia (REI) and the Indonesian Hotel and
Restaurant Association (PHRI).

"This MOU is a positive step that supports each other and strengthens the business branches of
each party, provides healthy water quality for the community, protects excessive groundwater
extraction and reduces public spending to meet their water needs at affordable prices according
to the tariff calculations that have been published. government," said Achmad Sanusi.
