Abstract. Geographically Weighted Regression (GWR) is a statistical method used to

analyze spatial influence with a point approach indicating that inter-region tends to
different characteristics In representing a condition. GWR is the development of linear
regression involving the latitude and longitude of the observation point. GWR models can
be applied to agriculture, for example in the production result, in this case, the production
of cabbage. The results of cabbage production vary between regions caused by the
characteristics of different areas. The purpose of this research is to determine the best
weights GWR model in the case of cabbage production in Malang regency. The Weight
function used is Gaussian, exponential and bi-square kernel. The best weighting
determination is determined with the highest R^2 value and the smallest AIC value. The
data used is secondary data sourced from the Department of Horticultural Food Crops and
plantation Malang in 2018. The free variables studied include area of land (X_1),
elevation (X_2) and rainfall (X_3) the results were shown to indicate that exponential
weights have a highest R^2 value of 99.54% and the smallest AIC value of 289.3758, this
indicates that GWR models with exponential weighting functions are the best models to
model cabbage production in Malang regency.
