Learning metrics to be tracked and community building:

Zuperly is a new age ed-tech company who is going with a product first approach to address
the needs of learners. The mission of Zuperly is to improve the overall learning efficiency and
productivity of Learners. Given the boom of technology start-ups in the last decade, users are
constantly bombarded with new applications and have to switch between multiple
applications.

Added to that, the pandemic has advanced the adoption towards online learning by at least
by 5-7 years as per several research articles. As much as people appreciate the
democratisation of knowledge in the form of Massive open online courses, they have failed
to address the mass consumer need which is effective consumption of knowledge. Data
suggests the completion rates of MOOC’s is 5-7 %, which is very unfortunate.

This is the founder’s second attempt in the ed-tech space, and he has been working deeply in
the ed-tech space for close to 6 years now in various capacities and has developed a deeper
understanding of the space, problems within the space and associated solutions. Combining
all that,we have chosen a product first approach to address the problems of online learning
which is frustrating at the moment and we want to make it a delightful experience.

Considering the factors mentioned above, we are bundling together several scientifically
proven features into a single application which will enhance the overall learning efficiency
and productivity. We are a learner centric platform and every feature within the application
is developed to either improve learning efficiency or improve productivity. We are building
as a lean company by taking the inputs of learners regularly and iterating the product.

Problem

1. There are a number of fitness apps, food apps etc where you can track down your
metrics like calories burnt, sleeping hours, steps taken, calories consumed etc.
Similarly, if you are given an option to track down your metrics related to learning,
reading and writing. What all would you want to track down on a daily, weekly,
monthly and maybe yearly basis? For example, hours spent reading, number of words
written, productive time etc, these are some basic examples, so think over it and come
up with what all metrics you wish to track down and the logical reasoning for that
metric, like how would it help by tracking that metric.

2. In continuation to the measurements, how would you wish to gamify that whole
following of measurements? For instance, would you like to challenge any of your
companions on a specific measurement, check the pioneer board and so on Like these
models, concoct your thoughts of gamifying this whole following of your
measurements which will help in accomplishing your objectives better and be such an
inspiration.

3. In order to effectively gamify the experience, we need a community with which we

could play around with. So,what are the unique ways and ideas which you can think
of that will help us in growing a community of learners who shall be accountable for
their individual and community growth? Please don’t give regular ideas like webinars,
campus ambassadors, posting content etc, get more creative and come up with
interesting ideas to build and grow a community around Zuperly.
