EVIDENCE OF PROGRESS AGAINST TEACHERS’ STANDARDS

(EVIDENCE TEMPLATE)
(Trainee to complete all parts of this form)

Evidence should reflect what you do in practice and is not a tick-box exercise
If it is not evident to an independent verifier why you have selected it then it is not evidence

Before selecting evidence trainees need to consider the following:

● The commentary should leave mentors, tutors and independent QA verifiers in no doubt as why supporting evidence
has been selected and what links it to this commentary
● This commentary is more indicative of your progress than the supporting evidence itself and it is assessment of this that
carries academic credit towards your qualification and NOT evidence per se

COMMENTARY Teachers’
Standard
Explain why and how you think that you meet the descriptor for this standard. Explain what you have chosen
as supporting evidence and what you think it demonstrates about your practice.

Descriptor: (copy and paste exactly as it is in the Tracker)

Aware of a variety of strategies to promote good behaviour.

SUPPORTING EVIDENCE
Provide examples in the box below that show how you meet this. You can copy and paste images as well as extracts from
documents or summative reports, but remember to anonymise them where appropriate. Mentors are assessing authenticity
as well as accuracy against the descriptor by signing this off when they tick this on the e-portfolio tracker
