Harry Potter and prisoner of Azkaban

Author: J.K Rowling

Published in July 8, 1999
Harry Potter was ready for the third year of school. The year has just started and he
discovers that a very dangerous prisoner has escaped from Azkaban.
Azkaban is a witch prison, the guards of Azkaban are called Dementadores, scary
figures that float and have a hood that covers their faces. They feed on happiness, they
can cause despair in those around them, and if they consume the person's soul they can
leave the victims in a vegetative state permanently. Azkaban seemed very safe, how the
prisoner managed to escape was a great mystery.
For safety's sake, Dementators were placed near Hogwarts' school of magic and
witchcraft, keeping a safe distance from the students. Harry ended up crossing with
some and going through traumatic situations.
Who helps Harry face his fear of dementators is the new teacher of Defense Against the
Dark Arts, Remo Lupin, one of his father's best childhood friends, full of mysteries and
secrets that are being clarified along the plot.
When Harry finds out that Azkaban's fugitive is Sirius Black another childhood friend
of his father's, suspected of having been Voldemort's accomplice in his parents' murder,
he starts wanting answers, no matter how dangerous his life may be.
With the help of his friends Rony Weasley and Hermione Granger, he travels through
time and saves innocent lives and changing destinies.
In the end impressive revelations are made that change Harry's vision and future and the
saga.
The book portrays very well Harry's relationship with his still unknown and different
past and does not focus so much on the duality between Harry and Voldemort. The
relationship between the main characters continues to evolve naturally.
I recommend book to everyone but not before reading the books that precede it, all the
books of the saga are very good and immersive in a magical universe very well
explained and detailed by the author.
