Bible Sharing

1. Introduction. Brothers and sisters, let us now settle down. In short silence, let us reflect to the things that
transpired from our days. Let us call on the presence of the Holy Spirit that may it open our hearts to receive the
Word. Through His presence, may our Lord guide us, and give us the gifts of unity, love and peace. In joy let us
call out to Him as we sing the Opening song.
2. Opening Song. Come Holy Spirit
3. Opening Prayer. At this juncture, may we call on Mr. Remar Agcaoili, for the Opening Prayer.

Almighty and eternal God, we come to you today.

We thank you for your never ending grace. Grant us your wisdom
As we continue to battle this pandemic.
Lord, help us to do things for your greater goodness.
Quench the fire of hatred, anger and strife in our hearts.
Bring health to every mind and peace may enter in our life.
Most Holy Father, grant our prayer. Through Christ Your Only Son
That in your spirit we my live and praise you forever. Amen.

4. Proclamation of the Gospel. (Doel to read)

The Gospel according to Matthew (22:15-21).

Then the Pharisees went away to work out between them how to trap him in what he said. And they sent their
disciples to him, together with some Herodians, to say, 'Master, we know that you are an honest man and teach
the way of God in all honesty, and that you are not afraid of anyone, because human rank means nothing to
you.Give us your opinion, then. Is it permissible to pay taxes to Caesar or not?'
But Jesus was aware of their malice and replied, 'You hypocrites! Why are you putting me to the test? Show me
the money you pay the tax with.' They handed him a denarius, and he said, 'Whose portrait is this? Whose title?'
They replied, 'Caesar's.' Then he said to them, 'Very well, pay Caesar what belongs to Caesar -- and God what
belongs to God.'

5. Silence. In silence, let us go over God’s word. Then, for three to five minutes I invite everyone to choose a
word, expression or Gospel verse that drew your attention or struck you in a particular way. We reflect on those
words as we recognize significant events in our lives.
6. Sharing of the word, verse, or element that seems the important. As we meditate, read aloud, three times,
the phrase, word, or verse most striking to us.
7. Second reading of the word. Dave Lagante to read
8. Sharing. This time, let us recognize and relate our lives to the Word. Given the questions below as our guide,
may we listen to some our colleagues and share their reflection.
As they share, we also reflect and learn from their experiences.
(Shela Mae Borro, Roger Balanay, Ma. Liezl Sabularse, Jeryka Pascual, Reach Vee Salacup, Gonieto
Hernander, Jr., Ace Tumaneng)
i. What is the message of the passage to me?
ii. How does it apply to my personal experiences?
iii. What challenge does it impose to my faith?

9. Third Proclamation of the Gospel. Reimar to read

10. Personal Prayer or contemplation. Now that we heard their stories, let us strengthen our relationship with
God in prayers. I now invite everyone, in a clockwise formation, to individually express your personal prayers.
11. Concluding Prayer. Gathering our prayers and praises into one, let us pray the prayer our Lord Jesus Christ
taught us... Our Father. Let us Ask our Mother’s intercession as we say, Hail Mary. We bring back the glory to
our Father, we pray… Glory be… (sign of the cross)
