Reaction Paper
The world is facing a disaster. Some are severe, while some are
manageable. Disasters are abrupt events that involve a massive loss of life and
property, including natural disasters. These disasters need emergency
management to rehabilitate the damage caused. This management contains the
damage and controls the hazards of the disaster through a process of disaster
management. The purpose of the process is to prevent disasters and minimize
unexpected disasters. The Philippines is vulnerable to disasters such as flooding,
droughts, landslides, and earthquakes.
The impact or effect of disasters is always hazardous, damaging, and
destructive. Human lives are lost, infrastructures that are in place are either
damaged or destroyed. Livestock and plants that are sources of food are
destroying during disasters. The losses and the impacts of disasters affect us for
several years, and it can take a long time to get on from a particular disaster.
Scientists and researchers have discovered and proposed that urbanization,
industrialization, and transformation harm the environment. As a result of the
exploitation of the environment, numerous natural events, such as landslides and
earthquakes, are being produced, and their levels are escalating to a point where
they cause enormous destruction of property, wildlife, and, most significantly,
human life.
In conclusion, we need to take care of our ecosystem and take steps to
fight global warming and climate change, which are the primary sources of certain
natural disasters. And also, we need to be alert and prepared all the time because
we don't know when a disaster occurs.
