    Choosing a Verse

    First let me show you the basic harmony and the rhythm part for the verses of our practice tune. The songwriters don't always
    play rhythm guitar, but for this example we'll say that's the case.

    Then we're going to make some decisions regarding what to play in the lead guitar, in order to compliment the rhythm part. To
    do this we'll use a combination of our horizontal and vertical approach, meaning we'll play something with a different rhythm
    and in a different register.
