Love the big screen and cannot get enough of Netflix movies and shows? This festive season, enjoy the
most immersive TV viewing experience with your family and friends. Here are some hacks -- and a brand
new feature -- that will keep you the remote pro you are and also keep your family impressed.

(NEW) New & Popular: What’s new? There’s a brand new menu option on your Netflix when you’re
watching on TV. Simply go left to see the drop-down menu, and click on New & Popular. This is the
quickest way to find new and upcoming movies and shows, perfect for those who always want to stay in
the know. It combines four super-useful rows in one: Top 10 (so you always know what India is watching);
New on Netflix (all the newest titles launched); Coming Soon (movies and shows about to release) and a
new row called ‘Worth the Wait’, which includes films and shows that will launch in the future, and which
we think you will love. The coolest part of Coming Soon and Worth the Wait is that you can click on the
bell icon to set a reminder. And whenever the movie/show is out, it will go straight to your My List. How’s
that for never missing all the exciting new entertainment?

Personalised screensavers: If you thought actively browsing was the only way to discover new movies
and shows, think again. We’ve all left our TV on the Netflix menu, or in the middle of a movie, to get to
something else. So you already know that you see screensavers on your smart TV when Netflix is idle. But
did you know that the screensavers are tailored to your taste? Netflix has had screensavers since 2016 to
help members find movies and shows. But it was only earlier this year that the titles on screensavers are
similar to what you might have watched before.

‘More like this’ when deciding what to watch next: Just finished Masaba Masaba and loved it. And
now you’re in a mood for some more fun drama? Yes, Netflix will always recommend movies, shows and
rows tailored to your taste. But right now, you’re still in the Masaba Masaba state of mind? Click back
into the title, and then click on ‘More like This’. Netflix will recommend you titles based on your love for
Masaba Masaba.

Get the best sound and video:

Entertainment fans are obsessed with great sound and picture. Which is why you got yourself the 4K TV,
and the cool soundbar with Dolby Atmos. A few quick checks will ensure you’re set up just right. First, if
you want to make the most of your 4K TV, make sure you’re on the Premium plan. Premium not only lets
your family watch on 4 screens at a time, it is also the only plan that gives you Ultra HD video and Dolby
Atmos sound. To check what plan you’re on, just go to Account and look for Plan Details. To change,
select Change Plan. You want the immersive theatre-like sound at home. However, if your TV is
connected to your soundbar/music system through a 3.5mm jack, you are getting stereo and not surround
sound. Use an HDMI cable and plug in to the port at the back labeled ARC. Or use an optical cable, often
called Toslink. One that’s out of the way, take your TV for a Netflix test ride. Search is your best friend.
Just search for “Atmos”, “4K” or “HDR”, and Netflix will find out a list of movies and shows that are a
visual and audio spectacle.

Curate your My List: Raise your hand if you had an exciting new show in mind you wanted to watch
over the weekend, and simply cannot remember what it was. So frustrating! My List is your curated
playlist, and the fastest way to get watching new movies/shows without having to even decide. Whenever
you see an exciting title you want to watch next, click in and hit “Add to My List”. Slowly, you will have
built a sizable list. Now, either go left and scroll down to My List from the dropdown. Or better yet, when
on the main page, simply hit the Up on your remote to go straight to My List. All the upcoming titles you
added to My List also get added here automatically. So you always remember what that cool new show
was.

Use Netflix in your preferred language - Enjoy the complete Netflix experience in English or Hindi.
From sign-up to search rows, collections and payment, it is all available in your preferred language not just
in your laptops and phones but also on your TV. Sign into your Netflix account, select your profile and
choose ‘manage profiles’. Click on the ‘language’ drop down menu and select the language of your choice.
And you are all set to use Netflix in your preferred language across all devices.
When you can’t get enough of a show, go to ‘Collection’: So you’ve finished watching all four parts of
Money Heist, and the diehard fan in you can’t get enough. Or, you cried your eyes out along with Alexis,
David and Noah because Schitt’s Creek is over, and it was the final season (life will never be the same
again, we know)! Or your kids cannot get enough of the adventures of Mighty Little Bheem and his
friends. One cool way to get behind the scenes -- and this one really is for diehard fans -- is to watch a
‘making of’ film. Click into Schitt’s Creek and scroll right down to find the ‘Schitt’s Creek Collection’
which includes Schitt’s Creek: Best Wishes, Warmest Regards, which follows the cast and crew through
the making of the last season, along with unseen footage from the last table read. Or similarly find the
Might Little Bheem Collection to discover more adventures during the festive time of Holi and Diwali.
