Gauge: To check gauge on this small project, simply measure your starting chain and
first round of work to make sure you are getting the desired circumference for the size
chosen.

Pattern Instructions:
Although the instructions are written for working in the round, you could easily work the
pattern in rows, turning at the end of each one and leave enough of a yarn tale to stitch
up the seam at the end.
Newborn Size (12 inch circumference)
Rnd 1: Ch 72, make large ring by joining with sl st in first ch, being careful not to twist
the chain. Ch 1, sc in same ch as joining and in each ch around, sl st in first sc to join.
(72 sc)

Rnd 2: Ch 1, sc in same st as joining and in next 3 st, (sc, ch 7, sc) in next st, * sc 7,
(sc, ch 7, sc) in next st, repeat from * 7 times, sc in last 3 st, sl st in first sc to join.

Rnd 3: Ch 3 (counts as dc), sc in next st, sk next 3 sc, work 9 sc in ch 7 loop, * sk 3 sc,
sc, dc, sc, sk 3 sc, work 9 sc in ch 7 loop, repeat from * 7 times, sk 3 sc, sc in last st, sl
st in top of beginning ch 3 to join.

Rnd 4: Ch 1, sc in same st as joining, ch 4, sk next 5 sc, (sc, ch 5, sc) in next st, ch 4,
