 Anfora Blanket
Notes:
Inspired by the modern and essential Scandinavian style, the
Anfora blanket uses trapezoidal modules to achieve a
geometric design. The easy stitch pattern makes a sturdy,
cozy, and warm blanket.
Anfora is an easy blanket that uses only slip stitch and single
crochet stitches, perfect to practice working an even gauge.
Trapezoidal modules and half modules create the blanket and
are invisibly joined together at the end. The blanket edge is a
narrow light stripe that looks like an I-cord.
If the border is loose, use a smaller size hook only for the border.
DIRECTIONS
Module (Make 24, 12 in Each Color)
Ch 27.
Row 1: SC in 2nd ch from hook, SC across, turn. 26 sts.
Row 2: Ch 1, SC in next SC, 2 SC in next SC, SC in each st
across until 2 sts from end of row, 2 SC in next SC, SC in last
SC, turn. 28 sts.
Row 3: Ch 1, SC across, turn. 28 sts.
Rows 4-37: Rep Rows 2-3 seventeen more times, turn. 62 sts.
Border: Ch 1, 3 SC in next st, SC in each st across until 1 st
from end of row, 3 SC in next SC, continue on the oblique
side of the module working 1 SC in each row-end, continue
on the base of the module working on the opposite side of
the foundation ch, 2 SC in next st, SC in each st across until 1
st from end, 2 SC in last st, continue on the oblique side of
the module working 1 SC in each row-end.
Fasten off and weave in ends.

Joining
Join the modules following the Joining Sequence chart.
Put the first two modules on top of each other with RS facing,
use C2 and crochet hook to join the modules. Working 1 sl st
in each st of the border, insert the hook into the Flp of the
module close to you and the Blp of the module away from you.
Repeat the sl st seam to join the modules in stripes, then
stitch the stripes together following the sequence.
Finishing Border
Join the yarn in any Blp of the edge.
Round 1: Blp SC all.
Round 2: Sl st all.
Weave in ends. Wash and block.
