to hold its place. Sl St or mattress St to join. Do not pull your stitches too
tight or it will begin to “pucker.”
Repeat on other side.

across the 2 empty stitches at bottom point of neckline, and back up the

even amount on both sides. You will now be at Row 55(57,59,63,65) on
left side.
Row 1: 1 Hdc in first 5 stitches (at row 55(57,59,63,65), Work 57 Hdc
stitches evenly up the side of the first decrease section, across the back
panel and down the opposite side. 5 Hdc in remaining stitches (at row
55(57,59,63,65). Note- you may have to try a couple of times to get the

Join yarn with a Sl St to Row 1 of hood near neckline, on the left hand

opening until you reach the opposite side of Row 1, turn. (100 sc)

Tie off, leave a long tail for sewing.

Cord:
Ch 251, 1 Sl St in second Ch from hook and each Ch across. (250 Sl St)
Tie off.

Sew Trim/ Thread Cord:

Fold the hood trim over onto the outside of your hood. (Note- lay your
cord down now and work the seam “over” it so you don’t have to thread
it in later. Using the long tail and a yarn needle stitch row 4 of the trim to
the outside of your hood, creating an open tube. Thread/move the cord
threw as you go.

Weave in all ends.
