Lesson 30 22nd of October

Use:
1 We use the Present Perfect Simple when the action happened in the past, but we cannot
tell when exactly it happened.

Eg.: The boys have broken the window. (It has to be repaired./ It is cold in the room./
Dad is angry.) (we don’t know when exactly it happened)

2 We use the PPS when a past action has an obvious or visible result in the present.

3 We use the PPS when the action happened a very short time ago.
Call word: JUST
Eg.: She has just lefthome.
We have just hadbreakfast. (Éppen most...)

4 We use the PPS for a period of time that started in the past and continues until now.

I have known John for three years. (The period of time is specified)
I have known John since 2017. (we specified the starting point)

Call words:
already = már (kijelentő mondatban a főige előtt áll)
yet = már/még (kérdő vagy tagadó mondat végén áll)
never=soha
ever = soha/valaha (kérdő vagy tagadó mondatban)
recently/lately = mostanában, nemrégiben
