8. Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbitt
a. Want a book to make you bawl your eyes out? Here’s one for you. I’ve never
seen the movie, but the movie adaptation is PG.

1. Crash Course
a. I’ve shown you all some Crash Course videos and they are a great resource for
learning more about all types of subjects. They have more than just history
videos, but science, philosophy and a whole bunch more!
2. Ted-Ed
a. Another great youtube channel for educational videos about all manners of
subjects
3. National Geographic
a. The world is an amazing place and National Geographic is a great way to explore
our world
4. Spartans
a. Sent in by Aiden Lerner, this is a cool video on the lifestyle of the Spartans
5. Big, Bigger, Biggest Series (BBC)
a. This series shows how engineering breakthroughs have affected modern
inventions.

a. This is an organization for gifted young people. It has lesson plans, activities and
videos

5. TED-ED
a. This site has tons of short, educational videos for questions like, “Why isn’t the
Netherlands underwater?” or “How do you build a tunnel underwater?”
6. Khan Academy
a. Khan Academy is a high school staple for instructional videos.
7. Geoguessr
a. Google Map uploads a panoramic view of a random place and you have to guess
where that place is on the map!

10. 360° Tours of National Parks

a. I only just recently discovered this site! Google has a collection on arts and
culture where you can take 360° tours of historical sites and museums as well as
see enhanced views of amazing artwork.
12. History Channel
a. While I can’t not think of the Aliens guy when I think of History Channel, they do
have great articles for anything history! I personally enjoy the “This Day in
History” section
13. Newsela
a. You all know Newsela. I want to put this here though because it has a TON of
articles - news, stories, history - and they can all be at your own personal reading
level

a. I used to play this in kindergarten on the classroom computer….it simulates the
experience​ of Americans moving west along the Oregon Trail.
