1. INTRODUCTION
Ths manual contans nstallaton, operaton and mantenance nstructons for the T51P and T51XW Indcators. Please read ths
manual completely before nstallaton and operaton.

1.1 Safety Precautions

For safe and dependable operaton of ths equpment, please comply wth the followng safety precautons:

• Verfy that the nput voltage range prnted on the data label matches the local AC power to be used.
• Make sure that the power cord does not pose a potental obstacle or trppng hazard.
• Use only approved accessores and perpherals.
• Operate the equpment only under ambent condtons specfed n these nstructons.
• Dsconnect the equpment from the power supply when cleanng.
• Do not operate the equpment n hazardous or unstable envronments.
• Do not mmerse the equpment n water or other lquds.
• Servce should only be performed by authorzed personnel.
• The T51XW s suppled wth a grounded power cable. Use only wth a compatble grounded power outlet.

1.1.1 Relay Option Safety Precautions

Ths equpment may have an optonal AC or DC Relay Opton board nstalled. Ths opton allows external devces to be
controlled by the Indcator.

CAUTION: ELECTRICAL SHOCK HAZARD. REMOVE ALL POWER CONNECTIONS TO THE INDICATOR
BEFORE SERVICING OR MAKING INTERNAL CONNECTIONS. THE HOUSING SHOULD ONLY BE OPENED BY
AUTHORIZED AND QUALIFIED PERSONNEL, SUCH AS AN ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN.

Before makng connectons to the Relay termnals, remove power from the system. If the system contans an optonal
rechargeable battery system, be sure that the ON/ZERO Off button s used to fully turn off the system after removng the AC power
plug.

More detaled nstallaton nstructons are ncluded wth the Relay Opton Kt when purchased.
