    This week in class: Phonics!

    This week in class we learned all about PHONICS! Fun at home activities to improve
    Phonics- The study of the relationships between phonics understanding!
    letters and the sounds they represent. 1. Read with your child and help them sound out all their
    words.
    We read Bonk’s Loose Tooth, as a class and paid 2. “What word sounds like” game. For example the
    special attention to words that had vowel consonant parent will ask “what words sounds like cat?” the child
    silent e (VCe) patterns, with a long vowel sound. will then answer with words and sounding them out,
    For example: “H/a/t, hat sounds like cat.”
