         Some students prefer classes with open discussions between the professor
and students and almost no lectures. Other students prefer classes with lectures and
almost no discussions. In my point of view, a class in which we can talk more it’s
very useful than a class in which lectures are maximum than talking. 
Firstly, open discussion in a class increases students’ interests
and engagement. lectures mixed with discussions can help maintain students’
focus. As they discuss their answers, they get different perspectives on the topic.
Good questions and answers can get students to think deeply and make
connections. Moreover, if the teacher regularly engages students in a classroom
discussion, then students are more likely to come in prepared in class. For
instance, The University of Pittsburg agrees and stating that, if we start them out
with open class discussions and get them involved from the beginning, they're
more likely to stay with us throughout the course.
Secondly, open discussion can be used to develop important speaking skills. In
many professional contexts, people need to be able to speak up in a group. They
may need to offer information, ask questions, or argue for a different solution.
People don’t learn to speak up in a group by reading about how to do it, it’s one of
those skills best developed with practice. And it’s one of those skills that develop
better with feedback. All in all, in many professional settings, speaking in a group
is essential. Teachers prepare students to speak confidently in front of their peers.
Public speaking is a skill that improves with more practice. So when a teacher
promotes classroom discussions, they are preparing their students for real-world
settings.
In conclusion, I strongly believe that open discussion in the classroom can lead to
greater student understanding and helps us to increases our speaking skills in front
of people. Cause of this I think an open discussion is more important than a lecture.
