In ibague, our festival is the last week of june to the first week of
july and it lasts two weeks, we call this festival san juan and it is the
top event of the year. We do a lot of shopping because we like to
wear new clothes during celebrations. We also decorate the house
with typical things, we cook typical food for the holidays.

On San Juan's day we dress in new

clothes, usually is jeans, a shirt, a poncho,
a hat and boots. During this festival there is a special day to
celebrate the day of the lechona and by tradition that day we all eat
lechona, and there is also a special day of the tamalada, where
usually we all eat tamal with chocolate and bread.
