I am interested more in these following topics:

1. Active learning strategies in teaching English.
2.Metacognitive skills in language learning, because both active learning and metacognitive
skills play vital role in learning process of 21 st century. Actually, I was introduced to these
terms during the course “Teaching and Learning in 21st century” in summer semester. Even I
have studied around these topics on the surface, now I would like to learn more deeply about
how to integrate active learning strategies in language classes, specifically in English class. In
addition, I am eager to explore metacognitive skills and teaching those skills to language
learners. If they are metacognitively skilled, learning process will be effective, because, learners
will know how to study to learn the language.
Moreover, as a new language teacher I often try to learn something which can ease language
learning process for my students so I can help them as an instructor, and if I learn how to teach
my students to be active learners and have metacognitive skills, they can be more independent,
be able to take control over their learning and no matter in what situation we are, their learning
would not be prevented. I mean in any situation, if it is online or traditional classroom, they
would learn effectively.
Therefore, I believe devoting my time to making research and study these topics will be helpful
and significant for my future teaching.
