I- Description of the course


The purpose of general Computer science is to enable students comprehend the
fundamentals of computer network and internet network and develop the capacity to
think further and utilize these skills in their field of study in daily transaction. It gives
students the ability to set up their own network and choose the best suitable internet
resources.

II- Pre-requisites
Students must have at least gotten the basic knowledge on computer hardware and
software

III- Pedagogic objectives


At the end of this course, students should be able to:
a) Knowledge transmitted

b) State the different network topologies and explain their functions
c) Identify the network architecture and state the advantages and disadvantages
of each.
