CONGREGATIONAL PRAYERS VS COVID-19

Congregational prayers are considered to have more social and spiritual benefit
than praying by oneself or praying at home, GOS has suspended the
congregational prayers in fear of COVID-19 spread. The local administration
seemed helpless implementing the orders and it was observed in many districts
that congregational prayers were offered on call of their respective scholars also
arrestments wouldn’t be an appropriate decision under the circumstances. At
present we couldn’t afford making things controversial as 20 further locally
transmitted case were reported during last 24 hours in Karachi. WHO in its latest
release has said that temporary lockdown is not a permanent solution we have to
fight with this pandemic further. The ULLAMA’s are requested to review their call
and ask their followers to strictly adopt precautionary measures like Indonesia
did, they offered congregational prayers but also maintained social distancing also
adopted precautionary measures as announced by the authorities.
