Abstract

Change is the only constant thing in this dynamic world and being an HR, it is significant to be aware of
these changes to be able to determine how many employees will be needed and what particular
qualifications they should posses. These changes are demographic and social change. Demographics are
the characteristics of population that change over time which include age, gender, race, birth and
death, education and income levels and so on. Any change with those characteristics is what we called
demographic change. On the other hand, social change is the changes in human interactions and
relationships that transform cultural and social institutions as define by the sociologists. Some of the
important factors of social change are physical environment, demographic, cultural, ideational,
economic and political factors.
