relevant requirements stated in the document “BIM use cases for construction and handover

stage”.
In addition, the Contractor shall supply to the Engineer as-built drawings and BIM models of the
Works, showing all Works as executed, and submit them to the Engineer for review. As-built
drawings and BIM models shall show the exact as-built locations, size and details of the Works.
The BIM models must contain detailed as-built data according to the specified LoG and LoI levels
in DG and “BIM use cases for Construction and handover stage”. As-built BIM models shall be
created and/or updated by developing PIM (Project Information Model) models from the DTD
accompanied with laser scanning/photogrammetry data according to DG and “BIM use cases for
Construction and handover stage”.
These records and as-built and BIM models drawings shall be kept on the Site and shall be used
exclusively for the purposes of this sub-clause. The record drawings shall show all significant
features of the new works so as to form a complete pictorial record of the finished Works. The
drawings shall show details of all utilities affected by the Works.
The Contractor shall prepare all record drawings to provide accurate and complete record
drawings acceptable to the Engineer. During the course of the work, the Engineer shall have the
right to call for record drawings at any time so that he may check them for accuracy and
completeness. The Contractor shall provide a minimum of two prints of each record drawing for
this purpose. The Contractor shall finish the record drawings as specified within five days of the
date of the request to submit in writing by the Engineer.
Drawings shall be dated and signed by the Contractor’s representative and, if approved, by the
Engineer. The Contractor shall furnish three hard copies of the drawings and three CD’s of
electronic versions such as AutoCad files and BIM models, in both English and Official National
languages.

Final submittal
In addition to any record drawings required during the course of work by the Engineer, as it is
described in the section above, the Contractor shall supply to the Engineer, as-built drawings as
follows:

 BIM models according to the document “BIM use cases for construction and handover
stage”.
 TWO complete set as-built drawings, full size reproducible (hard copies + PDF + soft
editable copies).
 As-built drawings of the Works should be bilingual (Official National Language – English).
Prior to the issue of any Performance Certificate or the commencement of the Test on Completion,
the Contractor shall supply the Engineer with as-built records and drawings plus the data in digital
format on CD ROMs or equivalent. The Works shall not be considered to be completed for the
purposes of taking-over until the Engineer has received these documents and data.

1.7 QUALITY REQUIREMENTS

1.7.1 GENERAL

The Contractor shall draft a QM system as stated in sub-section 1.5.1 “Contractor’s Quality
Assurance Plan”. This sub-section includes requirements for Quality Assurance and Quality
Control (QA/QC) management. Testing and inspecting services are required to verify compliance
with Conditions of the Contract and these Technical Specifications.
The Contractor shall establish and maintain a QA/QC Plan, with project quality requirements
extending to all Subcontractors and suppliers, to ensure that compliance with the Contract is
satisfied.
Compliance with the QA/QC requirements shall not relieve the Contractor of any of his duties,
obligations or responsibilities under the Contract.
The Contractor shall institute a QA/QC system to demonstrate compliance with the requirements
of the Contract. The Engineer shall be entitled to audit any aspect of the QA/QC system.
“Quality Assurance system” implies activities, actions, and procedures performed before and
during execution of the Works to comply with the Contract, and guard against defects and
deficiencies and substantiate that proposed construction will comply with requirements.
“Quality Control system” implies tests, inspections, procedures, and related actions during and
after execution of the Works to evaluate that actual products incorporated into the Works and
completed construction comply with requirements.
QA/QC Plan shall comply with ISO 9001/9002. In particular, the standard EN 16907-5:2018 -
“Earthworks - Part 5: Quality control” shall be followed for drafting the QM system related to
earthworks.

1.7.2 TESTING BY THE CONTRACTOR

The Contractor shall carry out the testing of materials and Works during the execution of the
Works, in accordance with sub-clause 7.4 [Testing by the Contractor]. Testing shall be performed
in the manner specified in the Contract, in accordance with standards and recognised good
practice.
The Contractor shall give a Notice to the Engineer, stating the time and place for the specified
testing of any Plant, Materials and other parts of the Works. This Notice shall be given in
reasonable time agreed with the Engineer, having regard to the location of the testing, for the
Engineer to attend.
All samples and records shall be preserved as long as the Engineer may direct properly labelled.
The Contractor shall perform tests on materials as specified in the Contract and in the Technical
Specifications and shall promptly supply the Engineer with two copies of duly certified reports of
each test, in the form agreed with the Engineer. A third copy of the results of each test shall be
retained in the laboratory.
No permanent Work or item of the Contract shall be paid for until they are made available for use
by testing, unless otherwise agreed with the Engineer.
