learning
The term “Artificial Intelligence” was coined in a proposal for a “2-month, 10-man study of
artificial intelligence”, submitted by John McCarthy, Marvin Minsky, Nathaniel Rochester, and
Claude Shannon.
“An attempt will be made to find how to make machines use language, form abstractions and
concepts, solve kinds of problems now reserved for humans, and improve themselves.”

Few Important terms related to AI:


Artificial Superintelligence (ASI): Machine’s cognizance supersedes that of human’s.
Artificial General Intelligence (AGI): Machine performing any intellectual task that a human
being can.
Artificial Narrow Intelligence (ANI): Machine demonstrating the same level of human intelligence
in some specific area.
