Description:

This an online professional development workshop designed for teachers from grades K-5. It was

created to aid teachers understand the benefits of the Web2.0 tool, TES with Blendspace, and

how it can offer support in their classrooms and collaborate with peers. The goals of this

professional development are as follows: teachers will create an account and a lesson centered

around a topic of their choice to implement in their own classrooms.

Course Learning Goals and Objectives:

As a result of this professional development session, educators will know and be able to
● Understand the benefits of using Blendspace
● Create an account and login to the website
● Create effective lessons with a variety of multimedia resources
● Share lessons with other educators, students, and parents

teachers, as well as, sharing information with students, collaborating with other

teachers and sharing information with their students.

Course Prerequisites:

Prior to taking this online course, educators must have basic computer knowledge and skills,

such as navigating through varying online commands.

Evaluation:

In order to measure the knowledge obtained by teachers in utilizing the web 2.0 tool, TES Teeah,

with Blendspace, they will complete a summative assessment located on the web repository

under Assessment. . Educator participants will also complete a workshop evaluation via Google

Forms.

Course Assignment:

1. You will create a lesson in TES with Blendspace and share with teachers and students.

Follow the rubric to complete the assignment.


2. Leave a discussion post stating how you would use TES with Blendspace in your

classroom. Then explain your plans for sharing; accessible to students or solely for

teacher collaboration.
